What a heartbreaking week it has been. Sir Patrick Stewart was a friend, a colleague, and a magnificent actor. From the stage to the bridge of the Enterprise, he brought intelligence, grace, and a deep sense of humanity to everything he did. Captain Picard stood for the best of us, and so did the man who played him. I was filled with affection and admiration for him and his work.
My heart goes out to Sunny and his family. He will be deeply missed.

All at Huddersfield Town are deeply saddened to learn of the passing of lifelong supporter Sir Patrick Stewart. Our thoughts are with his family and loved ones at this sad time.
A titan of his craft and a legend and hero to millions worldwide, his legacy will live on. Fiercely proud of his Yorkshire roots, Sir Patrick was a Terrier in every sense, and we’re proud to have counted him as one of our own.
Once a Terrier, always a Terrier 💙

Greatest wordless performance ever delivered on the small screen. And then he was Picard. RIP.

Watching PMQs, strikes me once again how grateful we should be to David Cameron for closing the Europe question via a referendum once and for all.

this is juicy.
House Judiciary Democrats have released a 50-page report examining Trump's ties to Jeffrey Epstein, including accounts involving 11 women and a new rape allegation that the White House denies.
With just 8 days until the midterms, the report is raising explosive new questions. youtu.be/jSGtmJqsxxo

I am certain that Viktor Orbán, as UN Secretary-General, would put to good use the masterful veto and blackmail skills he has developed over years of derailing major EU decisions. We can share with the rest of the world our great experience of taking him out for coffee at the right moment.

My niece is in Rome on holiday with her friend. Made the beginner's mistake of asking her uncle for recommendations of places to eat in his favourite place on Earth. She'll be home before she reads them all.
It's 5.25 here. It is pissing down, and it is dark. I'm so jealous.
