The Canadian Press has seriously undermined its moral credibility. Using the September 11 attacks primarily as a vehicle for discussing Islamophobia demonstrates remarkably poor editorial judgment. Those attacks were perpetrated by 19 Islamist terrorists who murdered nearly 3,000 people, most of them Americans. For anyone old enough to remember September 11, the day remains profoundly painful and disturbing. Most of us remember exactly where we were when it happened. Anniversary coverage should focus first on the victims, the events themselves and how they changed the world forever—not subordinate that history to a contemporary political narrative. CP is not simply another newspaper: it is Canada’s national wire service. Its journalists produce stories that are distributed to subscribing newspapers, broadcasters and digital platforms across the country, where they may be published largely unchanged under a Canadian Press byline. That gives its editorial choices enormous reach. A questionable framing does not remain confined to one newsroom—it can be reproduced nationwide and presented as authoritative reporting. Canada faces a broader problem with the quality, balance and intellectual diversity of its media coverage. This may help explain the increasingly reflexive anti-Americanism shaping our public discourse. When a national wire service amplifies ideology instead of scrutinizing it, the effects reverberate throughout the entire media ecosystem. Informed debate suffers—and our democracy becomes more fragile by the day.

Holy F--- 👀😡
This is an actual article featured by the CBC / Radio-Canada (via a wire from Agence France-Presse). Mao Zedong's reign saw 40 million to 80 million people die as a result of man-made famines, forced labor, and brutal political purges. The CBC should be ashamed of itself for cheering on this brutal, communist dictator! What are they thinking?!

"It is very telling when a prime minister declares that we are at war with the world’s largest economy, yet refuses to answer questions from the media or recall Parliament—and few political columnists even raise the issue."
"With all this uncertainty at the border, many food companies will be asking where they can manufacture their products with the least geopolitical exposure. And between 350 million affluent consumers and a market of 41 million, numbers are stacked against Canada, I’m afraid."

We are undergoing the biggest brainwashing campaign in the history of Canada, on a scale never before seen. All forms of media, polling manipulation, talking heads, government fear tactics, police attacking citizens for speech, new laws specificly designed to censor and create more fear of breaking the new laws and jailed. Captirenof goernment workers, unions, and all institutions where government provides funding. You get a narative and that’s the official party position.

Maia Johnson is currently serving as the Chief Operating Officer of the PMO and a Senior Advisor for Canada-U.S. Relations, yet her professional background is that of a radical American Democratic activist. Giving a foreign political operative the keys to one of the most powerful and influential roles in the PMO is completely unacceptable. How can we ensure our national interests are protected when the very person managing our bilateral relations with the U.S. is a far left American political insider? Handing over control of the Carney government's internal operations to someone whose career is tied to a foreign Neo Marxist political party is a massive conflict of interest that fundamentally undermines our national sovereignty.

Counter-tariffs are here, and so is more shrinkflation.
Canada’s counter-tariffs on American products are now in effect. If they remain in place, their impact on food inflation will likely emerge later. ⬇️ The annual November-to-February "blackout period" will only intensify pressure on Canada’s food supply chain. Unlike their larger U.S. counterparts, Canadian food companies have less capacity to absorb higher costs for certain ingredients. We therefore expect food prices to rise by late winter or early spring.

Just in - Mark Carney literally does the "Many people will die, but that's a sacrifice I'm willing to make" speech - acknowledges that Trump is targetting Liberal voting provinces (like I've said) -Expects Alberta and Sask. to help pay for this fight

Mark Warner, one of Canada’s best trade lawyers—and a friend—dismantles, one by one, every argument used to defend Canada’s current negotiating strategy with the United States. A masterclass of an interview. Watch the whole thing. Oh, and the midterms won’t make a difference...

Most are applauding Chapman’s Ice Cream for replacing American ingredients. Fine. But ice cream is made primarily from dairy, and Canadian dairy is protected by supply management. So why the hell was Chapman’s using so many American ingredients in the first place?

Chapmans has made this claim many times. Just last year they made the same claim. When claiming to freeze the price on ice cream until tariffs are over. So was that a stunt or is this a stunt? Either way they use disgusting byproducts in their "food" and whip it with more air than industry standards. Gross marketing practices and gross product.

Peter MacKay is correct. The very reason they haven’t released the details of the deal Carney walked away from is because it will expose the truth. Carney made up the reasons to walk away. He never wanted a deal. The entire event of him cancelling it including his press conference seemed over the top and ridiculous, that’s what you do when you are trying to play people for fools.

You're completely insane for protecting these corrupt liberals and spewing their propaganda every hour on the hour. You think the idiot that represents Ontario, telling Trump to kiss his fat ass and going to cut electricity to the US was sane?
