Opposition demand to have equal representation in the parliament’s special committee on electoral reforms is not unjustified and should be accepted. The last such committee was formed in 2014. Then PM Nawaz Sharif conceded 19 seats to opposition vs 15 for the ruling party.

Generally, provincial

صوبے بنیں یا نہ بنیں، ایک مضبوط اور موثر مقامی حکومت کا قیام ہر صورت ضروری ہے۔
نئے صوبے بھی عوام کے انتہائی نچلی سطح تک نہیں پہنچیں گے، اس لیے تحصیل اور مقامی سطح پر عوام تک رسائی کے لیے بلدیاتی نظام بہرحال درکار ہوگا۔ اگر مقامی حکومت کا موثر نظٓم قائم ہو جائے تو ممکن ہے کہ نئے صوبوں کی ضرورت ہی باقی نہ رہے۔ سربراہ پلڈاٹ احمد بلال محبوب

A tale of 2 statements: UAE President visited Pakistan on 26th Dec 25 & India on 19th Jan 26. Each visit barely lasted a few hours. Pak visit confined to Airport only but the guest visited PM Modi’s residence in Delhi. A one page general statement was issued after visit to Pakistan while a 4-page 20-point statement covering details of current & planned cooperation on 15 specific areas (Including Education, Investment, Space research, Defence & Security & Letter of Intent for a ‘Strategic Defence Partnership’) was issued after India visit. My today’s v-log to be released around 4 pm will cover the ‘tale of 2 statements’!

حکومت نے 27ویں ترمیم کے تحت ہماری ترامیم کی حمایت کی یقین دہانی کرائی اور اس کا واضح اظہارسینیٹ اور قومی اسمبلی میں کیا

چند روز قبل پنجاب اسمبلی نے متفقہ قرارداد سے بااختیار بلدیاتی حکومتوں کیلئے آئینی ترمیم کی وفاق کو سفارشات بھیجیں، قرارداد PML-N کے علاوہ PPP ارکان نے بھی نہ صرف منظور کی بلکہ پیش بھی کی
ایم کیو ایم کی کوشش ہوگی کہ حکومت کی مجوزہ نئی ترامیم کے ساتھ آرٹیکل 140A کو واضح،جامع،قابل عمل بنائیں تاکہ ملک بھر میں عوام کو مالی و انتظامی طور پہ با اختیار بلدیاتی حکومتیں مل سکیں
