This here, I have noticed, is among the major problems affecting stores, warehouses and supermarkets in Nigeria (both medium and large-scale vendors). Most of the time, they don’t usually get it right.
You think slashing the price by 50% will solve your problem?? No, it won’t. Yes, it might temporarily solve the current problem and help you recover some money, but it doesn’t address the underlying cause and could affect your ROI.
The Problem; This can start right from the procurement and replenishment planning stage, even before the products arrive at the Receiving and Inspection point and finally find their way to your shelves. Products with batch numbers and expiry dates must be properly checked, sorted and segregated at the R&I point. If you don’t do that, you will end up mixing batches with different expiry dates. Then you will have a problem that will cost you time, effort and money to rectify.
Second problem is not adhering to the principle of FEFO/FIFO or mixing up the principles. Batch expiry items must follow the FEFO principle. If you are applying FIFO to products with different expiry dates without considering which batch expires first, then you may end up with this exact problem.
Third problem is not monitoring your sales/consumption trends (fast-moving items vs slow-moving items). If you don’t properly track your consumption trends and plan your replenishment accordingly, you will end up having slow-moving inventory, and this problem will likely occur.
Fourth is not investing in the training of your staff, porters and helpers. Have them trained in inventory and stock management. Set up refresher training monthly or quarterly.
Lastly, invest in inventory optimisation tools. With the right tool, you can have a system in place that tells you when a batch is close to expiry or when you are running low on items.
Solutions;
Enforce a strong culture of checking, sorting and segregating items by batch and expiry dates at the Receiving and Inspection point.
Train your porters/staff/helpers to always stack items with shorter expiry dates at the front of your shelves and items with longer expiry dates at the back. With this, customers can easily pick items with shorter expiry dates. Staff should also regularly check expiry dates and ensure that products approaching expiry are sold first. Or if you have extra storage, store items with longer expiry dates and display those with shorter expiry dates.
Monitor your sales trends and plan your purchases based on actual demand to avoid overstocking.
Invest in training your staff. Have them trained in inventory and stock management.
Optimise your inventory. Invest in inventory optimisation tools. Excel will do for a start.
Do these and see how you can reduce your losses due to poor inventory management and improve your ROI.
@Abmoya_ can help in optimising your inventory and training your staff.

That is the general rule. There are exceptions and one of the exceptions is the principle that I just explained and it was applied in the case of Uzoukwu v. Idika (2022) where the Supreme Court held that the law will not allow itself to be used as "an instrument of fraud". A borrower who has fully benefited from collecting someone else's money cannot simply latch onto technical licensing illegalities to walk away completely scot-free without repaying what they owe, as that would amount to unjust enrichment.
It is called “Windfall Rule”

People just throw words around. Despite angry with Sesko and how all his shin issue is handled so far. That will never make me label him an injury prone.

Wise move by Cristiano. If he had resigned when issues were hot, it'd have been a bad decision.
He admitted his mistakes, willingly took the punishment and eventually resigned in peace.
My idolo.

Seriously I do understand the media and rival fans saying that, it is expected from them because it's Manchester United, but how about some United fans that are championing the talk all because they want the coach to be sacked immediately? Those fickel fans won't stop to amaze us

Anyone putting the blame on Heaven for that first goal honestly knows nothing about football.
Kobbie coughed up possession in midfield, and Roma flooded forward in numbers. However, the player who committed the absolute biggest error in that entire sequence was Harry Maguire.
Maguire was essentially marking nobody. He left the player he was supposed to be tracking totally wide open.
That blunder forced Heaven to abandon his own zone and step across to cover the man Maguire failed to pick up, which left Soulé completely isolated.
I can actually excuse Dalot for failing to recover in time because he had pushed forward on an overlapping run right before we turned the ball over.
It was a fast transition, and he was simply caught high up the pitch.
But if Maguire had just executed his job and tracked the runner through the middle, Heaven would have never been forced to abandon Soulé in the first place.
So when you break down that goal, the heaviest blame falls squarely on Maguire, not Heaven.

If you are muslim (and proud to be and it shows in your words and actions)and you are planning to occupy any high stake position especially political one, one of the things you should be prepared to hear from opponents is the allegation that you are a Jihadist, extremist or terrorist sympathizer. They will say you want to islamize the system.
It's happening in Nigeria and it happened in the US. In fact, some Nigerian non muslims are so gullible that they will call you an extremist because you proudly say Islam First in all your affairs. We saw it happened just few weeks ago to SarkinFoto.

After listening to cerebral candidates in the US properly articulating their thoughts, who'd in his right senses think voting Obi who can't even explain what a noun is to save his life, is a "smart decision"?

I was at a teaching hospital earlier to see a family. I am happy Nigeria is working. There are more toilets than there are bed spaces. Family members accompanying infirmed loved ones have places they can stay to care for their loved ones. People no longer go abroad except the elite politicians. The idea is that when you go abroad only to meet a Nigerian Dr on call, why not just face them here in Nigeria. The ACs in the male surgical ward were working perfectly. There was light all the time I was there. I met two Resident Doctors downstairs in their Dr's bay watching in case there is any emergency. The critical surgery of the family I came to visit was successful. I think UBTH should learn from this Federal medical center. We demanded for medical report of the surgery and it was made available within one hour. No stress of any kind. No shouting at family members to leave the ward like they do at ubth. This is how a tertiary institution should run. Kudos to the @Fmohnigeria and to all the federal medical centers offering continuum of care to Nigerians.
