This #TransgenderDayofVisibility we celebrate transgender and non-binary people in Peel, Canada and around the world.
The Transgender community has a varied history with the police community. In Peel, we are committed to ensuring everyone feels safe to be who they are. 🏳️⚧️
3 in 5 reflects real barriers trans women face when accessing support. Bias shows up in policies, programs & everyday interactions, often compounded by racism, colonialism & ableism. This #TransDayOfVisibility, we commit to challenging harmful systems and pushing for real change.
