A really great summary for anyone interested:
THE END OF WOKE Well, not yet unfortunately but that is the general direction. That direction seems to have the following steps. As a summary this leaves many things out that a proper historical record would include. 1. The initial woke tsunami 2010-22. Gender ideology and then decolonisation theory overwhelmed everyone reaching its high point in 2022. Almost the only resistance came from radical feminists, many of whom were sacked, expelled, experienced vicious social media pile-ons, but they held their ground. Critical race extremists received much support on the grounds of opposition to “Zionism” after October 7. 2. The professional resistance 2022 onwards. Sall Grover, Jillian Spencer, Jasmine Sussex, Kirralie Smith and many others took brave stands against woke authoritarianism, including legal ones. The appalling “gender affirmation” was soundly criticised by Bernard Lane and courageous practitioners like Jillian Spencer, Andrew Amos and Rachel Hannam. 3. The intellectual resistance 2016 onwards. International thinkers such as Roger Scruton and Jordan Peterson critiqued woke from a conservative position and they were joined by left liberal political philosophers like Yascha Mounk and Helen Pluckrose and Marxists like Catherine Liu. In Australia writers such as Holly Lawford Smith, Susan Hawthorne, Renate Klein, Sheila Jeffries, Clive Hamilton, Guy Rundle and Bronwyn Winter dismantled its theoretical underpinnings. The book Over the Rainbow contained many chapters exposing the flaws and anti-democratic nature of gender ideology. 4. The public campaign 2022 onwards. The progressive media (ABC, Guardian, Schwartz etc) closed ranks to deny any gender critical information getting into the public arena but conservative media like News 24 and The Australian covered it and information was well disseminated through social media. A large number of women’s rights groups were set up with wide networks. Journalists like Rachel Baxendale and Stephen Rice wrote many brilliant articles exposing the authoritarianism and fragility of gender ideology. 5. The political campaign beginning in 2027. The only way to change the core of the problem - the 2013 amendments to the Sex Discrimination Act - is to elect a government that will do that. That will require a majority in both lower and upper house prepared to adopt gender critical amendments . Then the penetration of government departments and agencies by woke activists needs to be reversed.

No practitioner should ever have to work in fear of a lawyer driven, nonmedical, punitive only government bureaucracy who has, together with its associated law firms, have turned the regulation of practitioners into a very, very lucrative business. AHPRA must be stopped.
Hard to see a GP, specialist, psychologist or nurse? When practitioners are afraid, some leave the profession and shortages get worse. Sign our call for a Parliamentary Inquiry into AHPRA. Open until 22 November. Read: hubs.la/Q04CqKL-0 Sign: hubs.la/Q04CqKx70

No government agency should be allowed to investigate and prosecute charges it makes itself, Esp not a lawyer-driven, non-medical, punitive-only bureaucracy that is allowed to make a profit. AHPRA must be stopped For the protection of doctors, nurses, patients, and the public!
For the 4th time this year, the IWD Meanjin Brisbane activists took it to AHPRA today. As Australia's national regulator of health practitioners it is not appropriate for AHPRA to replace its registration function with ideological control of health professionals. AHPRA has overstepped its role. A recent example of AHPRA attempting to censor a doctor's medical opinion centres on the case of Dr Jereth Kok who posted on social media his concerns about gender medicine. Dr Kok was suspended for 7+ years. He lost his livelihood. According to AHPRA's chief executive Justin Untersteiner, AHPRA relies on "existing clinical guidelines" when it makes a case against a health practitioner. When asked by Bernard Lane from GCN however, Mt Untersteiner was unable to cite the Guideline breached by Dr Kok. It's time for AHPRA to be reviewed, disbanded and rebuilt. At today's protest we were abused by 2 pedestrians, but we had good conversations with 12 + people who congratulated us for making a stand. A very worthwhile action. We sometimes say activism is an antidote for despair about the Australian Govt's refusal to restore women's rights by fixing the Sex Discrimination Act. It is. Please consider joining our street activism. Email [email protected]

There are times when the care of patients has to be compromised, Cate, But that does not mean patient care should be not be optimised when possible!
And you'd die kicking up a stink in the waiting room, as many hospitals outside the big cities only have a few ED doctors on staff at all.

Ain’t a bad summary of things.
There seems to be some confusion amongst some people, so I will explain it as clearly as I can: Australia’s sex discrimination act was created for women, on the basis of our sex. When it was enacted in 1984 (ominous year, in hindsight) employment was a big part of it. There was a part of the act, section 7D, that allowed “special measures” where things exclusively for women weren’t even classed as discrimination, basically when it was being a woman is what actually mattered in the situation. Specific employment/opportunity provisions and… woman-only spaces fell/fall into this category. In 2013, the Gillard amendments introduced “gender identity” while taking the definitions of woman & man out of the act. Sex was never defined, but in a normal world it didn’t have to be. It could only have meant one thing (a mistake, again in hindsight). By the time the trans absurdity hit fever pitch, Australian institutions were captured. This included those meant to be the custodians of the SDA. Suddenly, all they cared about was “gender identity” aka transgender ideology. When the Tickle v Giggle case came along, it started with an Australian Human Rights Commission complaint. To settle it, aka not have it advance to federal court, I was expected to just agree with transgender ideology. I don’t. I wish I could say I completely understood the magnitude at the time, but it’s almost impossible to. You think you do, but you don’t really until it hits you like a bus. But what I did know, instinctively, was that if I folded, I couldn’t live with it, nor would it help because all it signaled was that “we” would just accept it if threatened. I found myself in a position to challenge the absurdity, and I did, because I knew not doing it would have been worse no matter what. Obviously, everyone knows now, the courts ruled against me in every way they could. From what a woman is, to 7D, to damages. I lost - and have lost - everything. But what does it mean to everyone else in reality? It means the sex discrimination commissioner told the court that the ordinary meaning of woman includes men who claim to be women, and the court accepted that. Men who claim to be women are women in Australia, via the only legislation they have to validate it. It means that for every aspect of the SDA, per the SDC’s demand, woman includes men who claim to be women. From employment to women only spaces to pregnancy protections, because of section 7D. Did we warn about this in our court submissions and arguments? Yes. That was actually our entire case. You can read it. It’s all publicly available. The high court said that we would have no possibility of success. We were arguing that women is adult human female and this matters in, tada, section 7D. That was it. The high court said “hell no way”. The high court is captured too. As it stands, due to legal precedent, a special measure for women based on sex does not provide a defense to gender identity discrimination. That means that all special measures for women fall to gender identity, which will only be used by men who claim to be women, and includes - tada - employment, and women only spaces. It means that men who claim to be women have more rights than actual women, while simultaneously taking away our rights. I don’t know how many more times I could say the “Tickle v Giggle” case is about more than “just” one app, I’ve been saying it for almost 5 years, but I will continue to do it until everyone understands. They wiped women’s rights off the map. It’s a f—ing mess. It doesn’t work. It’s incoherent. It’s ideological. It writes women out of law. It’s corruption. It’s totalitarian. It’s bullsh-t. It’s the test of any government: are you ok with legislating a lie?

Single sex must mean single sex.
This is why the proposal by Senator Cash on amending the SDA is t enough. There will be no requirement for single sex toilets and they will just replace them with “all gender”.
