Schoolboards should focus on core education (literacy, math, science, ...), not indoctrination into pseudo-religious ideology (gender theory, CRT, etc.)

I am speechless. Thomas Aquinas College just dropped a study on the rigor of the new SAT. It compares the 1980/87 test with 2026. The findings should terrify every parent and teacher... Vocabulary has collapsed. Old SAT: 70.6% of questions tested vocab. New SAT: 15%. The old test forced students to know a wide range of words through analogies, antonyms, and sentence completions. The new test abandoned that. Most vocab questions now just ask students to fill in one blank from context. Reading passages also got radically shorter (average ~97 words vs 300–340). The new test uses short expository passages and hands you the necessary background knowledge inside the text. The older tests leaned much more heavily on argumentative and persuasive writing, assumed far more historical, scientific, and cultural knowledge, and penalized students who lacked it. This is a redefinition of what "college readiness" means. If you believe that kids should develop rigorous vocabulary, be capable of sustained reading, and possess background knowledge, I have bad news for you. The SAT no longer measures these. If you want a future where children can actually read difficult texts and construct complex arguments, the SAT must be replaced now. This cannot go on.
We were concerned that the SAT has become a less reliable measure of student preparedness for a rigorous college curriculum. So, we commissioned a study from Johns Hopkins University. What does this study tell us about the state of higher education? The results are shocking. thaq.co/4iLThZ0

I believe truth, trust, and transparency must be fundamental to how the WRDSB is governed. A publicly funded board ought to serve the public –the people. For years, I have done the work — communicating with teachers, principals, senior staff, attending meetings, researching and impacting policy and decisions, filing Freedom of Information requests, delegating before trustees, serving on parent committees, organizing community events, meeting with elected officials, and speaking with and connecting with thousands of parents, educators, staff, and citizens. That experience has shown me where change is needed. Good governance requires more than celebrating accomplishments. Trustees must be willing to ask difficult questions, examine results, scrutinize decisions, and ensure that parents, educators and the public have a meaningful voice in the process. Parents should not have to agree with the Board in order to have their perspectives heard and acknowledged. Safeguarding our children from age-inappropriate content ought not be negotiable. Educators should be supported to focus on effective teaching. Students should be challenged to develop knowledge, skills, confidence, curiosity, and the ability to think critically for themselves, with the resilience to get back up when they fall short. I cannot, in good conscience, nor expect other families to, continue placing our children, our trust, and our public dollars into a system without doing everything I can to help ensure that system is worthy of all three. The challenges placed before me—and the solutions I have helped pursue—have given me a sense of responsibility to use that experience to help restore a public education system that earns the trust of the people it serves. Because public education should be a system families choose with confidence, educators are honoured to serve in, and students are better for having experienced.

A billion dollars of your taxes fund the WRDSB, which uses that money to cancel Canada's first PM and hide gender transitions from parents. I'm running for WRDSB trustee for Waterloo-Wilmot to restore academic excellence with transparency, free thought, and open dialogue.

1/ Ontario school boards paid at nearly $3 million to third-party consultants for equity, anti-racism, human-rights, and identity-based teacher training. And that is only the FOI disclosure that I was able to document in 12 months due to cost constraints. 🧵

The fact that I was suspended from my son’s school council was public. What I am revealing now is, before the board suspended me, I had already spent months under a confidential human-rights investigation over for objecting to the same thing - the boards lack of legal authority to impose a land acknowledgement at school council meetings. And was cleared... It's a story about what happens when a body meant to help hold the education system accountable to parents was instead used to hold a parent accountable to the education system. 🙃 I was right the whole time. It took two investigations, a suspension, and almost two years before the board acknowledged it. And many thanks to @C2CJournal for working with me to tell this whole absurd story properly. c2cjournal.ca/2026/09/school…

Here is the truth on what happened! (on video) Smeared! We asked @TownofWhitby Councilor Victoria @_Bozinovski an “impolite” question. The Mayor called this “harassment of women in public office”! The video evidence tells a different story…

Ontario’s social sciences curriculum which is mandatory content, encourages educators to teach jihad as a “spiritual struggle,” omitting the global terrorism carried out in its name, and instructs teachers to examine “misconceptions about jihad” and “media portrayals of jihad.” It also states that jihad is “the quest for meaning,” and includes a teacher prompt that asks students how the “[jihad] is expressed at different moments in a Muslim’s life?” There is no mention of the terrorism and violence perpetrated under the banner of jihad by extremist movements such as Hamas.

Today on Beyond Gender we interviewed Dr. Gordan Guyatt—the “godfather” of evidence-based medicine—who recently signed a statement calling paediatric gender medicine “medically necessary” despite knowing there is no good quality evidence that it is safe, beneficial and effective. This particular clip is INCREDIBLE. When I asked him about it, his response was nothing short of astounding. He confessed he hadn’t bothered to read the statement he signed! Guyatt is one of the most respected, distinguished doctors of our time, and his name carries tremendous  weight. That he could so carelessly put his name to an activist talking point—one entirely unsupported by evidence—is not only bitterly ironic, but also profoundly damaging. It undermines the work of those of us fighting to counter the flood of misinformation spread by activists, WPATH, and the medical associations that have endorsed this scandal.

A decade of Liberals brought crime, chaos, drugs and disorder to our once safe communities. On Monday, you can put an end to it all, by ending radical Liberal drug policies, bringing life sentences for fentanyl kingpins and bringing our loved ones home drug-free. But only if you vote for Change. Vote Conservative.

Nearly everyone I speak to agrees that social justice ideology has gone too far. If Pierre Poilievre leans into becoming an unapologetically anti-woke candidate, he’ll only grow his support. I explore this in my latest Substack (link in comments)
