Hello X family, I missed you all
Please welcome me back to X!
It’s been a while — I’ve been off the grid here while focusing on LinkedIn - linkedin.com/in/olugbenga-ad…. Unfortunately I lost access to that account and haven’t been able to recover it yet, despite reaching out to @LinkedIn and @LinkedInHelp.
But I’m fully back here now! 🙌
Dear family, stay tuned. I’ve got some announcements coming that will be directly beneficial to our immediate constituency — the Waste Management & Environmental Sustainability Ecosystem.
Let’s build, share, and push the agenda forward again.

My team and I had a breakfast meeting with our amiable Mrs Dara Oshodi (who recently won an award for excellence in recycling) and her hubby in the morning and lunch with another environmentalist who raised 4 boys alone. Different journeys, same powerful lessons—build from scratch, stay consistent, be resilient.
One thing stood out? Their appetite for risk. None of them played it safe. They took chances, bet on themselves, and kept pushing forward, even when the odds were stacked against them.
But beyond that, they networked, made sacrifices, and led with compassion. Success wasn’t just about hard work—it was about the people they built with and the kindness they showed along the way. Life rewards those who dare and those who care. @taiwoadewole

You are on point, the Govt at all levels should work very closely with curriculum developers & publishers to reduce the volume of books printed on yearly basis. The current trend is students are made to do their assignment in the text books making it useless for a younger sibling

We need to revive such meetings to improve Waste Mgt services in Africa to ensure basic pre-healthcare services & close the wide gap of life expectancy between countries in Africa & the rest of the world. Improvement of public health through effective waste Mgt is a human right!

Managing Director of Lagos State Waste Management Authority (@Lawma_gov), Dr. Muyiwa Gbadegesin @muyiwag, said Lagos faced escalating waste management issues, leading to flooding during extreme weather events.
Introduction of Waste-to-Energy plants, he said, would facilitate improved waste collection, treatment, while reducing land demand for landfills. The project, he said, will be sited in Epe area of Lagos and it is expected to process 760 kilo tonnes of municipal solid waste per year.

Commissioner for Environment and Water Resources, @tokunbo_wahab said Lagos was desirous of environmental sustainability, because of the threat posed by observed rise in sea level and extreme temperatures.
The Commissioner pointed out that Lagos State Climate Adaptation and Resilience Plan (LCARP) document was the second of four planned frameworks designed by the State Government as strategic response to climate change.
