Thanks for sharing. Proud to finally show data to support the practice we have followed for a long time. @SUO_YUO fellow @HFu_MD put this together. Even when surgery is the the next step, my first ? is what life events do you have coming up - weddings, trips, etc. SRMs ≠ emergencies.

QOL endpoints are critical. But name studies in which the usual cancer endpoints were negative but QOL was positive! Unless we create better ways to measure QOL we will continue to have a problem. With multiple sequential effective (sometimes toxic) therapies this is critical
85% planned it. Only 47.5% reported it.
In our new study of 80 phase III #GUOnc trials, QoL endpoints were frequently prespecified but often went unreported.
Among trials that prespecified QoL, reporting was significantly more common when the primary endpoint was positive: 71% vs 31%.
Our findings highlight the need for consistent, transparent reporting of patient-centered outcomes — regardless of trial outcome.

DAY Two of OncoAlert 🚨 Coverage of #IKCSEU26
Provider Perceptions of Cure in Renal Cell Cancer Presented by Ms. Dena Battle🇺🇸 of @kcCURE
RCC specialists demonstrate notable hesitancy in using the term “cure,” even in clinical contexts where long-term outcomes may justify it. This reluctance reflects not only clinical uncertainty but also parallels similar reservations among patients. The absence of a standardized definition contributes to inconsistent communication, potentially affecting expectations and decision-making. Establishing clearer, consensus-driven terminology around “cure” in RCC could enhance transparency, improve physician–patient alignment, and support more informed shared decision-making. Addressing this linguistic and conceptual gap may ultimately strengthen trust and facilitate more meaningful discussions about prognosis and treatment goals in renal cell carcinoma care. #KidneyCancer
