@MinofHealthUG , under the PEN-PLUS project that’s focused on integrated management of NCDs has completed a 2-day technical support supervision at Nakaseke and Luwero Hospitals and Semuto HCIV. We were able to assess the status of mental services and how best we can improve.
30 minutes of walking everyday is doing me good. As people living with NCDs,exercise is important but even more important is the support we recrive. Good to see that the Government is ready to prioritise NCDs like diabetes,sickle cell,cancer,heart & lung conditions and others.
National Day of Physical Activities 2026!
A time was had in Gulu City on 7th August!
Because physical activity is crucial in the fight against NCDs, we exercised, we walked and we danced!
The presence of the Minister of State for Health General Duties signaled governments continued commitment to respond to the NCD challenge in the country, and we at UNCDA remain hopeful that one-day, we shall achieve a society free from preventable NCDs.

UPDATE: Masaka High Court Judge Victoria Nakintu Katamba questioned lead investigator Goffin Butere for failing to produce exhibits in the 2018 St Bernard’s SS Mannya dorm fire case. Butere blamed an overcrowded police store and asked for more time. #NTVNews
Defence lawyer Samuel Ssekyewa accused the prosecution of being unprepared after 8 years, with accused still on remand. Henry Taremwa and Dickson Kisuule were acquitted. Niyo Edison and Mugarura Alex remain accused.
Hearing adjourned to August 10 for final prosecution witnesses.
The August 2018 fire killed 10 students.

Kitante Hill School outgoing Board of Governors officially handed over to the incoming board on 30th July 2026 at ABBA Hotel, Kyaliwajjala.
The handover ceremony was officiated by the Commissioner for Secondary Education, Mrs. Juliet Muzoora, who commended the outgoing Board for its dedicated service and applauded Headteacher Mr. Wotakyala Samuel Balwana for promoting a culture of recognizing predecessors.
The event was attended by @KCCAUG education officials, including Dr. Phiona Arineitwe, Mr. David Esuku, and Ms. Kiconco. Prior to the handover, the incoming Board participated in an induction session facilitated by Mr. David Esuku, Manager, Education Operations, KCCA.
