Countdown to Cuba: 9 Days Left “Dare to struggle, dare to win.” — Cuban Proverb The struggle for Cuba is a fight against oppression. The US, under Trump and his administration, seeks to undermine progress, spreading misinformation and economic warfare. We cannot let this stand. Stand in solidarity! £26,000 needed by July 26th. #Cuba26 #ResistImperialism #SupportTheRevolution #NoMoreBlockade

The police must answer for Henry Nowak’s death. Farage wants a race war by another name. A white man raped a Sikh woman while screaming Islamophobic slurs. Farage was silent. Henry Nowak is a prop, not a person, to Nigel Farage

As we enter Gypsy, Roma, and Traveller History Month, the Communist Party of Britain expresses our unwavering solidarity with the GRT community. The history of Romani and Traveller people in Britain and Ireland is a history of resistance against the encroaching hand of capital and the punitive nature of the capitalist state. For centuries, the nomadic way of life has been treated as a criminal act because it defies the primacy of bourgeois property rights, the logic of privatised and corporate land ownership and sedentary exploitation. Socialists must centre our politics around the struggle for GRT rights. We cannot speak of class liberation while ignoring the systemic displacement and state violence directed at those who reside on the margins of our economy and society. From the historical trauma of the Porajmos/Samudaripen to the current ongoing legislative attacks on nomadic life, the struggle for GRT rights is a struggle for the freedom of all working class people to live with dignity. We celebrate the rich cultural heritage and the indomitable strength of the GRT community. Communists' solidarity with the GRT community is a recognition of our shared material interests and a commitment to dismantle the structures that seek to atomise and punish the working class for daring to resist capital. We stand with you today and every month in the pursuit of justice and dignity for all. #gypsyromatravellerhistorymonth

Saw it clearly on a march in London, peaceful, lots of kids, “ miners” inciting the crowd - ignored by the way- to rush Trafalgar Square. Mounted police with batons rode down Whitehall clubs in the air. I then saw them standing with the police, photographing the crows. Cops.
The claim that police had dressed like pickets came from Malcolm Howarth, a member of the Notts area NUM executive. Howarth said plain clothed officers were seen among the pickets, urging them on, before driving away in a police van.

Kamaladevi Chattopadhyay was born today in 1903. She spent her life breaking the colonial machine. She saw the British Raj as a system for stealing land and labour. In 1926, she ran for a legislative seat. This was a tactic to show the worker that these rooms were built to keep them out. She didn't want a seat at the table. She wanted to saw the legs off it. She founded the Congress Socialist Party to stop the revolution from being sold out to local bosses. Her salt raids were not just protests. They were direct strikes against the laws that turn the earth into private profit. She was the first woman the state arrested for this. They feared the hand that produces its own life without their permission. She built handlooms and cooperatives. This was a war against the factory that turns a person into a cog. She knew that reclaiming the craft was reclaiming the means of production. She warned that independence is a lie if it only swaps a white master for a brown one. A flag is just a rag if the people are hungry and the land is still fenced. She demanded a total reorganisation of society for collective need. We don't celebrate her with statues. We celebrate her by putting our shoulders to the wheel of history until the axle snaps. Jan 27. The Red Army liberated the gates of Auschwitz. It was the Soviet soldier, the worker and peasant in uniform, who ended the industrialised slaughter of the camps. We reject the liberal memory industry that seeks to sanitise history and erase the political character of the Holocaust. Fascism remains the ultimate weapon of capital, used to crush the organised working class and the marginalised. We name the victims with clinical precision. The Jewish people, the primary targets of genocide. The Roma and Sinti in the Porajmos. The disabled murdered under Aktion T4. The homosexuals persecuted under Paragraph 175. The socialists and communists who were the first to disappear into the night and fog. The Jehovah's Witnesses and Black people. With fascism once again on the rise across the West, the state’s performance of memory is a hollow hypocrisy. We do not seek a shared memory with a ruling class that maintains the same logic of exclusion and border violence today. We must ensure that Never Again is Never Again for everyone. We recognise that the struggle against fascism is inseparable from the struggle against the capitalist state that birthed it. We remember to fight. 🚩 #HMD2026 #HolocaustMemorialDay #Porajmos #RedArmy #AntiFascism #ClassWar #LabourHistory #NeverAgain

An object lesson for trade unionists on the damaging consequences of sectarianism. @PCSLeftUnity call out the “Alliance for Change” trying to use a President correctly upholding PCS rules as an excuse for their own failings - they have no strategy to win. pcsleftunity.org/2024/08/18/…
