The whole thing seems to have disappeared without a trace, @didoharding.'

“Living standards are falling for us.” Yet UK banks just posted £29bn in half-year profits. Lloyds’ profits jumped 99% to £2.3bn as mortgage rates hit 6%, while Shell doubled its profits to £8bn. This isn’t just an economic crisis; it’s a wealth transfer.

Reform UK Councillor @SaffronSOS, that’s a pretty horrific “joke” to like.
Disgusting antisemitism.
We assume @ReformDurham and @DurhamCouncil will take action on this.

Funny how this level of scrutiny seems to only apply when journalists travel to Iran. I don't recall you demanding to know who paid for journalists' trips to Israel, who hosted them, what access they were given or whether they're paid for appearances on Israeli media.
If you have evidence that I'm funded or influenced by Iran, just say it and produce it. Don't hide the insinuation behind a series of questions.
And given your record on cancellation politics, perhaps you should focus on representing your constituents in Hemel Hempstead rather than policing journalists whose political analysis you don't like.
Your job is to represent your constituents, not act as a mouthpiece for Israel.

36 years ago, a leadership crisis was triggered for the Conservatives which marked the beginning of the end for Margaret Thatcher's leadership - but what was her legacy?
According to her, privatisation and popular capitalism to enfranchise "the many". In reality? A disastrous legacy of selling off public goods which has left them hollowed out and unrecognisable. From trains to electricity, water to care homes to commodification of every day essentials has left the UK public which overpriced, unreliable services that are in regular need of taxpayer bailouts.
It is about time these services were wrested from the grasping hands of private capital and renationalised.

Brighton were in League One as recently as 2010/11.
They won promotion to the Premier League in 2017 and have since established themselves as a Premier League club, qualified for European football and continued to grow.
Now they’re sitting 3rd after nine games, having beaten Arsenal and Manchester City in recent weeks.
That’s a proper journey. Built over years, not bought overnight.
Unlike those who just want to skip the hard work and jump straight to the top by being lucky enough to be chosen as a nation state’s sportswashing project.

I've never been here but I have been to other Mediterranean countries. I imagine the people I've stayed near in France, Italy and Greece being treated like this. What would the world say?

#WeRemember Arthur H Wenborne, Ernest Hyde, Walter Hart, Joan Ridd, and Francis Wingfield, who lost their lives after a bomb hit their substation on this day in 1940.
The firefighters had been using Ricardo Street School in Poplar, East London, as a fire sub-station during the Second World War.
After the school was hit by a high-explosive bomb, twelve firefighters were trapped under the debris, and five died as a result of their injuries.
The firefighters who died were part of World War Two’s Auxiliary Fire Service – a nationwide brigade made up of tens of thousands of civilian volunteers. The group of twelve firefighters trapped under debris at Ricardo Street notably included two women, as World War Two saw a large intake of women firefighters into what we believe to have previously been exclusively a man's role.

First the UK media buried its own role in Jason Arday’s death & then it white-washed it. This week, it celebrated it. Re-posting my piece from August because the de-humanisation continues. The UK press continues to fact check a corpse, while refusing to correct a single false claim

Given the corruption uncovered by the Covid Inquiry and now the names of the PPE facilitators tell me how these people walk freely amongst us. Enjoying the benefits they stole from tax payers. When will we put a stop to this?

“Brighton will be forced to sell soon because of the rules”
That’s a common misconception I see on here even from some of our fans sometimes.
Brighton don’t have to sell because of the rules. In fact Brignton are one of the clubs net positive in the last 5 years or so. Brighton don’t *have* to sell.
Brighton sell because players will always want to play as high up the football pyramid they can. It’s completely normal
and we do the same when we take the best young players from clubs below us in the pyramid.
And we are moving up the pyramid YoY

The moment you put an identifiable tag or plate on bicycles I can 100 certainly guarantee you all cyclists will know exactly how to behave. They behave like this because they know they can get away with it.
‘What wrong with you?’ Terrified pedestrian asks dangerous Lime bike rider skidding past her on pavement opposite St Thomas’s Hospital, London. Other pedestrians subjected to people riding bikes at speed & close passing them when they have green man to cross road. @ShabanaMahmood
