Make America Build Again 🇺🇸
Lots of new followers, so I should probably explain what we're doing at @ValstadShip: We're decomposing the common operations required to build ships, and building autonomous systems to carry out those operations at least 10x faster. Let's make America competitive again.

If you are ready to be done with this DEI discrimination, come to RedBalloon.work All our employers care about is merit, hard work, and America 🇺🇸
At our annual high performers off-site I asked one of our top employees how our culture compared to the company we acquired that he came from... His response: “Night and day. At my old company, performance reviews were scored from 1–100. Because of the DEI team, if you were a man, you automatically lost 15 points. If you were white, you lost another 15.” Imagine starting your performance review at 70/100 simply because you're a white man. But it gets even more absurd. I shared this with a few other employees who joined us through the same acquisition. One confirmed the framework and told me that HR had actually exempted themselves from it so their own compensation increases and performance reviews wouldn't be affected. LOL. So... the people enforcing the rules HR / DEI team made sure those same rules didn't apply to them. And the people administering it knew better than to subject themselves to it.

this is objectively a great thing.
A few years ago, young people told us they wanted to be YouTubers. Now? FOUNDERS. I’ve been told this from multiple sources, none of them talking to each other. They’re hearing it directly from their students. I spent the last few years helping lead a national effort to inspire young people to pursue careers in advanced manufacturing. I wanted them to dream of becoming machinists, engineers, and metalworkers. But something even bigger happened. They don’t just want to build things. They want to build companies. Goal exceeded.

Let your people vote on company time! The future of America is certainly worth the time it takes. Right now, early voting is open here in the great State of Idaho. Help your people do their civic duty and vote!

Nick clearly hasn't been to Moscow, ID
Americans are productive AF. But there isn't much community. No after-work meetups at the pub. No popping over to neighbors houses unannounced. No kids playing with other kids and group dinners several nights / wk. And I think thats why most Americans are miserable.

Crazy thought: You can't fire conservatives for being conservative, nor can you discriminate against them in the hiring process.
Our response to @ElissaSlotkin's threat to conservative staffers: “We are going to help them get jobs, we are going to put them to work, and if anyone comes after them—they’ll have a fight on their hands.”

ON UCHICAGO CAMPUS: U.S. Senator from Michigan Elissa Slotkin hopes planned political prosecutions of republican leaders will scare young conservatives from getting involved in politics. @ElissaSlotkin

The solution? Fire your bureaucratic hr team. Have a lean team that works with outside resources to build a meritocracy full of builders with American grit.

Don't do this. Be honest and direct with your candidates. Ask open-ended questions to learn about their disposition and mindset instead of dangling the carrot.

20 year HR professional here. Many times I’d make candidates wait a few extra minutes to see how they handled it when they got frustrated. Weeded out a lot of hot heads. Me, I’m looking for patience and understanding.
