This was deeply disturbing to watch. Most of the audience invited to chant โFuck Israelโ, โFree Palestineโ and โFuck Zionistsโ have little understanding of the history behind the conflict, Israel or Palestine.
What should be a worldwide campaign for a peaceful solution increasingly looks like a cult movement consumed by inciting hatred against a whole country and Jewish people.
The scenes were chilling, with an unsettling echo of the Hitler Youth rallies of the Second World War.

All day I've been walking around shaken by a video. One where a rescuer strokes a dog wounded in an overnight Russian attack: a big, fluffy grey-and-white dog. And the poor thing is trembling in pain and dying. I can't forget the look in its eyes.
There will be no video. Because for social media, it's just content. For us, it's our life.

At the Macklemore concert in Dublin last night were multiple calls to destroy Israel and the display of maps erasing the only Jewish State. Can you imagine if the reverse was done to Palestinians. But hate against Jews is shamefully normalised. And grotesquely seen as good.

The Irishman who went viral for threatening a Jewish couple French supermarket was found guilty of condoning crimes against humanity and making antisemitic death threats.
This is what too many Irish people on this site, including an Irish Times, journalist, spread conspiracies about. This is what too many Irish people condoned, justified, and, in some cases, even lauded.
What is notable here, as Daniel says, is that the Irishmanโs name has been revealed as Patrick โ Paddy.
Will we see any apologies from the Irish people who lied that the Jewish victims were using โPaddyโ as an โanti-Irish slurโ?
Sadly I just do not expect this. Because that would require an integrity that they simply do not possess.
Patrick, the Irish man who told a Jewish woman that he wish Hitler had finished the job, has been convicted of condoning crimes against humanity and of making death threats.
Remember all the people here accusing the Jewish victim of using the name Paddy as a slur, well now we know she was telling the truth the whole time. Assuming she was lying in the first place is clear racism against Jews. But unfortunately I highly doubt most of them will be doing any introspection on the matter.

My reaction to last night's result in my hometown:
"A vote for Chow was, if nothing else, a vote that didnโt care about what Torontoโs Jewish community has suffered. In the overwhelming majority of cases, I suspect people never even thought about it at all."
There's a national elxn happening in Israel today, and, no matter the outcome, there's always another elxn in Israel just around the corner because 1) it's the Middle East's only democracy, 2) the often chaos of proportional representation. No elxns in " palestine "

We had last night in Dublin an Irish musical version of one of the Nuremberg Rallies of the 1930s.
Manipulated, indoctrinated, excited young people, who know little of the history & complexity of Israel/Palestinian conflict, the demonic slaughter that took place at the Nova Music festival, Hamas promises to repeat it & Hamas refusing to disarm & obstructing a UN sanctioned peace process, drinking the Cool Aid of Israel & Jew Hate.
All hidden behind a beguiling โ Free Palestineโ slogan that calls for the eradication of the worlds only Jewish state & either the extermination of 8 million Jewish Israelis, half of world Jewry, or their expulsion to an unknown destination.
And I once wondered how come the vast majority of Germans adopted, embraced & celebrated Hitlers Jew hating Nazi ideology during the 1930s. The exuberant excitement & dancing at Dublinโs 3 Arena gives all the insight required to understand it all.
And, of course, RTE promoted the event not only on the Late Late Show but also on its news website & following its conclusion gave it an ecstatic news slot on Radio Oneโs Morning Ireland.
