A great afternoon on Church Street in Houghton-le-Spring yesterday.
Thanks to everyone who stopped for a chat. The first of many. 🇬🇧

A council can write letters. Only Parliament can end dispersal.
@RestoreBritain would detain every illegal arrival until removal and close the asylum hotels.
Will @SunderlandLab MPs back the city, or the Home Office? 🇬🇧

Fourteen days. No response.
After being ignored by the Immigration Minister, I wrote directly to the Home Secretary, Shabana Mahmood, two weeks ago, demanding an immediate halt to further asylum dispersal into Sunderland.
I gave the Home Office a clear 14-day deadline to respond. That deadline has now passed without a single word.
Sunderland is already accommodating more than twice the proportion of people receiving asylum support that our population would indicate. This is not equitable distribution. It is an unsustainable burden on our city.
Again, I want to be unambiguous: I am not seeking a reduced allocation. I am seeking an end to asylum dispersal in Sunderland. Full stop.
As residents will be aware, our housing stock is under significant pressure. Local families are struggling to secure homes, yet the Home Office continues to treat Sunderland as a destination for the consequences of national immigration policy failures. This cannot continue.
I requested an immediate freeze on new placements, a halt to further accommodation procurement, and clear answers regarding the Home Office’s plans for our city. None of these have been forthcoming.
My administration is now actively reviewing every existing arrangement and every lawful avenue available to challenge and resist further dispersal. We will pursue all appropriate options.
I will not accept decisions being taken in Whitehall without proper engagement while Sunderland is left to manage the consequences. The Home Secretary has had the opportunity to respond. The silence is unacceptable. Why does the political class hold us in such contempt here in Sunderland?
Sunderland has reached its limit.
No more dispersal.
Sunderland first, always.

Good luck to Jean and the @RestoreNDurham team in Craghead & South Moor on 19 November. 🇬🇧
Sunderland members: action days on 14 and 15 November. Get in touch if you can help.
Burnham promised to end rough sleeping in Manchester by 2020. He missed it, and it's more than doubled since 2021. Now he's promising the same for the whole country — and @bphillipsonMP is cheering it on. Forgive us for wanting results, not reposts.
Delivery e-bikes on the pavement. No plates, no insurance, no training.
@RestoreBritain would change that: registration, insurance and number plates for commercial e-bikes, and a full licence for delivery mopeds.
Off the pavement. 🇬🇧

I don’t believe you. So Restore Britain has just sent in a lengthy FOI request demanding all internal and external communications specifically concerning the proposal, planning, approval, funding, organisation, content and promotion of the event.
Look forward to hearing back!

Canvassing for @RestoreBritain in Stockton-on-Tees earlier today... Came across a number of pledges and some people who were genuinely interested in what our aims were. Also took a good load of feedback away for the area.
We also come across one of our members at his home who came out for a good chat and offered to help us with future campaigning. – at Stockton-on-Tees, England

This is important - the latest huge MRP poll has Restore Britain ahead in more Scottish constituencies than both Reform or the Tories.
Restore Britain - 21

Reform - 12
Tie - 11
Edinburgh, Glasgow, Motherwell, Midlothian, Dunfermline, Renfrewshire, Rutherglen, Inverclyde, Cowdenbeath and Kirkcaldy, Coatbridge and Bellshill and more.
Incredible progress.
We have the second largest party membership in Scotland, and are now polling ahead of both the Tories and Reform in terms of seat performance.
This is remarkable.
Restore Britain is now the second largest party in Scotland, and the largest party on the right - bigger than both Reform and the Tories.
Scottish patriots finally have a genuine alternative.

Close the asylum hotels.
Restore Britain's plan: every illegal arrival detained until removal, no release for lack of space, and a target of 90% fewer crossings within a year.

Restore Britain's new policy will crack down on dangerous e-biker riders terrorising pedestrians in our towns and cities.
Deport millions, clamp down on rife anti-social behaviour and get these dangerous vehicles off our pavements.
That's the plan.

Your tax-free allowance has been frozen at £12,570 since 2021, while everything else went up.
Restore Britain would raise it to £16,000.
