This came to me as negative for malignant cells from the cytotech. These deceptively bland cells are all basically all malignant and BER-EP4 positive. Take a guess about their origin. #boardfodder

CLASSIC and gorgeous cytomorphology - a jumbled capillary network weaving through deceptively bland neuroendocrine cells from an intrathyroidal parathyroid neoplasm (adenoma) - "the vascularity and naked nuclei are the clues". (Thyroid, FNA)

Unusual Breast Lesions
Reactive Angioendotheliomatosis (Diffuse Dermal Angiomatosis)
A florid vascular proliferation driven by tissue hypoxia, often linked to severe cardiovascular disease, chronic kidney disease, or obesity
• Does not dissect through terminal duct-lobular units • No nuclear atypia, endothelial multilayering, increased mitoses, or necrosis
⚠️ Diagnose with caution in the breast, always correlate thoroughly with clinical history

Practical lession: Lung tumors that looks like carcinoma but negative for TTF-1 and p40, add Claudin 4 and WT-1 to exclude the possibility of mesothelioma
