🌿🌍My Unheard Voice needs to be heard 🌍🌿 I've been a victim of climate change since I was 10yrs old. A journey marred by irregular weather patterns, floods, and an overwhelming sense of helplessness. I'm confronted with a sobering reality: even when I speak out, just a few people actually listen, and only a few leaders take serious action. Childhood should have been a time of wonder and exploration, not one clouded by our planet's impending calamity. I recall a time when fresh air and bright seasons were the norm when the heat of summer was matched by the cold embrace of autumn. But those memories are fading as irregular storms, extended droughts, and terrifying heatwaves take their place. It has been both a responsibility and a difficulty to speak out about the urgency of climate change. It's distressing to observe how the gravity of the issue frequently goes unnoticed. The alarm bells are screaming in our globe, yet some choose to ignore them, dismissing our planet's crisis call as an unpleasant truth. The irritation grows when we contemplate the absence of decisive action from leaders with the ability to effect large-scale change. While a few champions arise, eager to address the situation, far too many stay trapped in politics, short-term advantages, and a worrisome disregard for the generations who will bear the repercussions of their inaction. But, even in the face of adversity, I refuse to give up. I am part of a growing chorus of concerned individuals calling for dramatic change. We work together to break the silence, to change the focus away from economic gain and towards the well-being of our planet and its inhabitants. To create a sustainable future, we must unite as a global community, crossing frontiers and beliefs. Climate change is no longer a distant problem; it is a contemporary reality that affects us all. The events in #Pakistan and #Maui are just a taste of what is to come. It is past time for our leaders to move beyond political rhetoric and make real steps to decrease emissions, promote renewable energy, and invest in innovative solutions that will protect our planet for future generations. I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to people who are taking action instead of waiting for leaders. Your initiatives give people hope and demonstrate that change is possible. And to those who are still skeptical or apathetic, I encourage you to consider the far-reaching consequences of your decisions. My path as a survivor and champion of climate change is far from over.
