@roinnslainte & Stephen Donnelly received the Meenan Report in 2020. Rather than read it & implement they decided to produce another report chaired by a defendent in a negligence case & excluding patients/negligence victims. HSE/DOH/NTMA & a director of Merrion Fetal private only

The Minister for Health @CarrollJennifer is doing her upmost to push ahead with a Commission of Investigation despite the objections of affected families. @SBH_PAG The Farrelly Commission took almost eight years, heard evidence behind closed doors. Its second phase never proceeded, and Grace’s legal representative raised concerns that her voice was not reflected in the final report. We are deeply concerned that this process is being managed to protect the State and its institutions, rather than the children who were so badly failed. And why does the proposed scope exclude scrutiny of @SimonHarrisTD time as Minister for Health? Our children did nothing wrong. They deserve answers in public, not another investigation behind closed doors. We demand a public statutory Tribunal of Inquiry. #BackUs #JusticeForHarvey #PublicTribunalNow

@SimonHarrisTD lied about his knowledge of #cervicalcheck test delays for 4,088 women causing me to bring High Order case against @HSELive to clear my name - he has form - case settled 5 days before so he didn’t have to give evidence- always said he is not worthy of his position
What an awful individual, with former political journalist Blue Hugh overseeing Questions. Tánaiste Simon Harris confirms he was the senior minister who spoke to Patrick O’Donovan - and denies heated phonecall - ✍️Aisling Moloney The Minister for Culture, Communications and Sport was in intensive care in hospital earlier this month after falling ill when he hosted EU telecommunications ministers at the University of Limerick. #CallAnElection #PhonecallGate independent.ie/irish-news/po…

I’ve been saying this for years! Of course in Ireland with our 50% insured population, most of the NHS wannabe civil servants and Slainte-worshipping pols have insurance themselves! The system we should emulate Is Germany.!
Among international experts on healthcare, the UK's system is viewed as being mediocre at best. It is highly centralised, giving patients little or no choice and therefore does not incorporate a competitive/incentivising dynamic. That Ireland's Slaintecare apes the NHS has long been a cause for concern. Sam McBrides's view from Northern Ireland, where the NHS operates

Minister @CarrollJennifer failed to honour commitments made to families on 12 November 2025. Today, she offered no explanation. She appointed Remy Farrell SC, and his terms of reference were published under regulations she herself signed. She cannot now distance herself from the process or its outcome. We have no confidence in the scoping process, proposed inquiry modules or Commission of Investigation. Families will not be railroaded. @SBH_PAG #BackUs #JusticeForHarvey #PublicInquiryNow

Today, the Dáil will hear Statements on Children’s Health Ireland The published @roinnslainte minutes of our meeting with Tánaiste Simon Harris and Minister for Health Jennifer Carroll MacNeill on 12 November 2025 clearly record the commitments made to families. sbhpag.com/uploads/1/4/0/1/1… What actually happened? 🚫 No Tribunal of Inquiry. The Minister did not bring the promised proposal for a Tribunal of Inquiry in principle to Cabinet. Instead, a Commission of Investigation has been recommended. 🚫 No agreed mediator. The Minister appointed a facilitator without agreement or collaboration with parents and advocacy organisations, despite the commitment to an agreed mediator. 🚫 No independent clinical expert. Despite discussions about appointing an independent clinician to assist the process, no such appointment was made. 🚫 No direct consultation with children and young people. The scoping report identifies no children or young adults living with scoliosis or spina bifida who were directly consulted. 🚫 No further meaningful engagement with families. Families requested further engagement before the terms of reference were brought before the Dáil. That engagement did not take place. Families came to the table in good faith. We are not asking for new promises. We are asking for the commitments made on 12 November to be honoured. @SimonHarrisTD, you were an active participant in that meeting and supported the commitments made to families. Simon Harris, you made a promise to our children in 2017 that was never delivered. You made commitments again in November 2025. Do not fail our children twice. Honour your word. #BackUs #JusticeForHarvey #TribunalNow @SBH_PAG

Today, myself and @Stephen63224725 collect the last of Harvey’s ashes. From there, we head in to the Dáil to listen to the statements on the inquiry in to Children’s Health Ireland. @CarrollJennifer @SimonHarrisTD you both know what was agreed to, and you both know the current recommendations mean this inquiry won’t be fit for purpose if you push on with it as is. #JusticeForHarvey #TribunalOfInquiry #BackUs

Dublin is ranked as bad value. Putting a civil servant with no experience of regeneration and that’s overspent and cut spend into regeneration whilst a sec gen isn’t going to fix Dublin as hasn’t a track record. Old lads not delivering shouldn’t be getting the roles.
There is a reason why Porto has been so popular with young people from rich countries where they are priced out of the most attractive cities.

🔺David McWilliams: The Irish State has become a monstrously bloated organisation that has lost all sense of value for money "Even from a cyclical perspective, a country at full employment does not need any more money thrown at it – the economy is already bursting at the seams – and yet this week’s Budget 2027 is throwing a net €7.4 billion extra into an already bloated system" Read here: irishtimes.com/opinion/2026/…

This week on “People pretending to be honest” 2 more vermin who have been hitting us quite regularly. But this time we have the proof. We know you live in Clonee and only we are to busy to call and on you and collect either the money or claim the produce back….. I bet your husband will be mortified when he sees this🤭 We think ah good shaming is in order! In fact the daughters egg carrying ability is worthy of a job! We would be thankful if you shared so we could get a name for these two. They aren’t welcome back at Dunne’s farm and be sure to remind them if you see them🕵️ For the record… When we post these videos, We’re not looking for pity, sympathy or anything of the sort. We run a farm, we work hard, and unfortunately there will always be a certain type of people who think it’s perfectly acceptable to take what doesn’t belong to them. We just happen to believe that in a fair and honest world, dishonest behaviour should have consequences — and sometimes a little public embarrassment is one of them. 😏 #dunnesfarmeggthief #dunnesfarmeggs #dishonest #eggrobbery

The Government continues to use high-risk receipts to fund permanent tax and spending measures. It plans to spend about six-in-seven euros of all corporation tax revenues it takes in. Most of it is for current spending.

Spending increases net of tax measures have been running at a blistering pace. A sustainable speed limit of 5% was set in 2021. But governments have since budgeted for 6%, before actually delivering about 10%, double the speed limit. Today’s figures suggest almost 9% in 2026.

Since 2020, there’s been large rises per person in USC / PRSI so it’s not getting taxes back to 2019 levels. Majority ‘feel’ poorer as they are; more taxes. Poorer by stealth; e.g Kerry now paying €1500 more per person in USC than 5 years ago.

It is important that people know exactly what was said to us. @SBH_PAG @GillSherratt23 @Stephen63224725 @LalorMaher33771 On 12 November, the Minister told families she would bring a memo to Government for a statutory public inquiry that would be, “in principle, a Tribunal of Inquiry.” But the Government decision that followed did not commit to a Tribunal. It committed to a statutory public inquiry and a scoping exercise. Now the recommendation for a Commission is being attributed to Remy Farrell. But Remy Farrell only recommends. Government decides. @CarrollJennifer ‼️ The move away from the Tribunal we were told was being progressed started before his recommendation was ever made. That needs to be explained. @SimonHarrisTD We took the Minister and Tánaiste at their word. We expect them to honour it. thetimes.com/world/ireland-w… #PublicTribunalOfInquiry @JohnMooneyIRL
