Today, Brad Lander, rabbis, and other New Yorkers accompanied Palestinian farmers during the olive harvest. For that, they were detained by the Israeli government.
Harvesting olives is not illegal. The occupation is.
I am thankful that Brad has been released. But other New Yorkers remain detained, and they must be released immediately.
The same Israeli government detaining them has committed a horrific genocide against Palestinians, killing more than 74,000 people over the last few years alone.
The detention of these New Yorkers must end. The occupation must end. The genocide must end.

The fascist entity of Israel thinks that if it arrests and deports all those witnesses to raw, genocidal, and state-backed Jewish-Supremacist terrorism, that no one would talk about it anymore, and Palestinians can yet again suffer and die in silence. In the occupied West Bank.

To spell it out: The activist/journalist who filmed this video of @washingtonpost’s Heidi Levine being brutally assaulted on Friday was just violently arrested by Israeli police while documenting a military raid on an olive harvest in Taybeh—where diplomats were attacked on Saturday.
Replying to @infinite_jaz
This video captures settlers beating Heidi. They clubbed her, kicked her. Pulled her up off the ground to beat her more. Robbed her of all her equipment. If she didn’t have a helmet—and if she was Palestinian—she could be dead.

Alleged killer of Hind Rajab traveling freely in the United States
——
The Hind Rajab Foundation has filed an urgent request with the US Department of Justice demanding the immediate arrest and criminal prosecution of an Israeli military officer currently traveling freely in the United States, according to a public filing by the organization.
The petition targets Sean Glass, a former company commander in the Israeli army whose occupation unit is directly implicated in the cold-blooded killing of six-year-old Hind Rajab, her family members, and the first responders dispatched to save her in Gaza City.
Extensive investigative findings place Glass and his "Vampire Empire" company—operating under the 52nd Armored Battalion—in the immediate vicinity of the family's vehicle during the massacre, which saw Israeli occupation forces shell and riddle the civilian car with hundreds of bullets.
The legal advocacy group warned that allowing an officer accused of egregious war crimes and acts of genocide to walk unbothered on US soil represents an intolerable collapse of international law and universal jurisdiction.

The commander of the Israeli military unit likely responsible for killing 5-year-old Hind Rajab is currently in the U.S.
As a party to the Genocide Convention and the Geneva Conventions, our government is obligated to arrest and investigate him for these war crimes and acts of genocide. I stand with @HindRFoundation in calling on the DOJ to follow the law and take action.
🇺🇸🚨 The #HindRajabFoundation has filed an urgent request with the U.S. Department of Justice, demanding the immediate investigation, arrest, and prosecution of Sean Glass, currently present in the United States. Glass commanded the Israeli unit implicated in Hind Rajab's murder. HRF's investigation places the 52nd Battalion—including Glass and his Vampire Empire Company—near her vehicle during the killing. “Glass is not just another man implicated in the killing of Hind Rajab. He is the man who most likely gave the order to open fire,” said HRF Director General Dyab Abou Jahjah.
The Hind Rajab Foundation has filed an urgent request with the US Department of Justice to investigate, arrest, and prosecute Sean Glass, an Israeli commander who committed war crimes and genocide in Gaza.
Glass commanded the “Vampire Empire” company, which HRF says was responsible for the killing of five-year-old Hind Rajab, members of her family, and the paramedics who tried to rescue them.
The foundation says its investigation places Glass and his troops near Hind’s vehicle during the attack and that he most likely ordered the troops to open fire.
