Comms is just yelling synonyms to each other for 20 minutes until someone says "uuhhh yeah I guess that one works"

I just want to be clear the media has never done this for Republicans when they play these kind of tricks, which literally happened very recently in Florida.
CNN: Did it impact your vote at all? Alaska Voter: Not a bit. CNN: Can you tell who's who here? AV: Absolutely. You've got Daniel J. Sullivan Jr. and then you have Sullivan Dan, who's a registered Republican and incumbent. And I don't even have my glasses on. It's pretty clear it's in black and white. It's very clear.

"If you shoved a metal pipe down a dog’s throat and force fed it to such sickening extremes that its liver increased in size ten-fold, causing it great distress, obviously that would be monstrous. Foie gras is similarly cruel."

Michigan’s Muslim population is 2-3 times larger than its Jewish population. The feelings of the latter get blanket attention, whereas I’ve seen no analysis or reporting on how Michigan Muslims feel about Rogers’ messaging and ads suggesting his Muslim opponent is a terrorist
If you're trying to understand why so many Michigan Jewish Democrats are defecting, I wrote in August about it. It's not, per se, about foreign policy. theatlantic.com/ideas/2026/0…

The ADL refusing to name Trump here speaks for itself. Just a deeply unserious organization that has drifted far away from its stated mission, and one that has lost all credibility.
The term “Shylock” is rooted in a longstanding antisemitic stereotype. Regardless of intent, its use can reinforce harmful tropes about Jews and normalize language that has long been used to target the Jewish community.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
The term was used (for at least the second intent in as many years) by President Trump. forbes.com/sites/siladity… Important context to point out the user of the term regardless of intent.

Polymarket is taking bets on whether the seven Cornell students accused of raping a student will receive a felony sex crime charge. Among the athletes endorsing Polymarket: LeBron James, Derek Jeter, Eli Manning, Sue Bird, Reggie Bush and Richard Sherman.
Polymarket and its athlete endorsers are under fire for a market on whether any of the seven male defendants accused of raping a Cornell student will get a felony sex crime charge. There was $451K in volume, with traders placing a 28% chance on the market resolving to “yes."

Trump on El-Sayed: "His name is actually Abduladadalalalala. It's Adulbabababababa Mohammed Al-Sayed. So his middle name is Mohammed. So I was right. He's a jihadist."

If a US politician made fun of Jewish people like this it would be the end of their careers. But Islamophobia is totally fine and normalized.
Trump: "You have Mohammed, Mohammed, Mohammed, Mohammed, Mohammed. Everybody is basically. If you're in doubt about somebody's name from the Middle East, just say 'Mohammed.' You have about a 65% chance."

After voting against funding Netanyahu’s war crimes, I pledged to return all donations from AIPAC (and any organization invested in supporting his government) and to refund any donors who requested it. I have honored that pledge and returned $247,574.85. I will work with anyone who is dedicated to ensuring the safety of the Jewish and Palestinian people in the region and to fulfilling both Israel's right to exist as a democratic Jewish state and true self-determination for the Palestinian people.

Netanyahu is raining bombs on innocents and yet yelling from the podium at the UN like he’s a poor vulnerable civil society activist speaking truth to power. Can’t believe that team Biden gave unflinching support to this cynical, noxious, corrupt man.
Netanyahu says Mamdani has "Hamas buddies" who wanted to kill all Jews in his remarks at the UN. "Shame on you for distorting the facts, for inverting victim & aggressor... Mr. Mamdani, you try to stop me from coming here, you try to silence me. Well, you can't silence me."

Hell no. We will win the midterms by going hard AGAINST the AI billionaires. Not by sucking up to them.
NEW — Democratic advisers are warning their candidates not to go too hard at AI - out of fear that powerful tech groups will unleash a tidal wave of $$$ against them ahead of Nov And, AI groups have plans to spend even more w/ @lisakashinsky @JasonBeeferman politi.co/4rkfCQ7 via @politico

it was touched on in the article, but it cannot be stated enough what a net negative the barstool media empire is to society
There is a corner of the internet I had never heard of before I started reporting this story. It’s called the “burnerverse”: a sprawling network of anonymous college-sports accounts that can look, at first glance, like ordinary shitposting. Then I started looking closer. And what I found was a highly coordinated network of hundreds of anon accounts, dedicated to doxxing girls and ruining their lives. My investigation for @WIRED — including some of the men allegedly behind some of these accounts — is out now. wired.com/story/burnerverse-…
