JD Vance made one of the worst mistakes of his political career. He had the audacity to call Vice President Harris "trash." Women across America hear how he calls Kamala Harris trash, and trust me, they are going to come out in droves to defeat Vance and Trump tomorrow.

Biden: So I took executive action last month. As a consequence, working with Mexico, border encounters have gone down over 50%. The current level is lower today than when trump left office.

This is absolutely better than the current situation where the conservative majority puts their fists on the scales of justice regardless of who is in the other branches of government.

so you pack the court, and then republicans win again, and they pack the court, and you're back at square one, except now the country does not have judicial review at all this is better how? also, like, no, the court hasn't already been packed

Expanding the Supreme Court is the only way to get American democracy out of its current doom loop. Five ideological justices can't be allowed to keep amending the constitution through interpretation with no practical way to limit their power other than expansion.

Spicy summary of the day: 1. One bad debate should not trigger a massive disruption and debilitating party meltdown 2. The media’s arrogant and hysterical reaction showed their naivitee and utter disregard for voters who chose him as nominee 3. HOWEVER if he cannot appear unscripted in interviews and/or town halls this will be untenable. It is mystifying why he hasn’t done this. 4. The notion that someone other than Kamala could be dropped in is absurd and misunderstands who is the heart and soul of the party 5. So if Biden cannot quickly get out there with full visibility he must create a pathway for her to be the nominee 6. The campaign against the fascist Trump and corrupt court simply needs an able messenger

This is what Trump plans to do in a second term: He would be willing to build migrant detention camps and deploy the U.S. military. He would let red states monitor women's pregnancies and prosecute those who violate abortion bans. He would be willing to fire a U.S. Attorney who doesn't carry out his order to prosecute someone. He is weighing pardons for every one of his supporters accused of attacking the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021. He might not come to the aid of an attacked ally in Europe or Asia if he felt that country wasn't paying enough for its own defense. He would gut the U.S. civil service, deploy the National Guard to American cities as he sees fit, close the U.S. pandemic-preparedness office, and staff his Administration with acolytes who back his false assertion that the 2020 election was stolen. time.com/6972021/donald-trum…

This is absolutely the case. I am countering the nonsense they see on social media on an almost daily basis with my kids.
I think this speaks to a larger problem with the Democratic Party not interacting with younger people. They don't watch cable news. They don't subscribe to newspapers. Influencers shape their worldview. We have to engage in new ways.
