To put it blunty messages like these are a direct result of the actions your CM took and the community YOU invited into Dead by Daylight. Allowing a community who sends messages like these to vulnerable groups is unacceptable, and needs to be addressed.

It’s 2027.
DBD has been taken over by Burnt Peanut’s community and maps are renamed to reflect their values. The maps are:
- MAGA Haven
- The Homophobe House
- Garden of Slurs
- LGBTQIABCTHC+^= Ward
- Father Cambell’s Chappel
- Grave of Queers
- Temple of Trump
- Trans Ruins

How to unlock every DLC in DBD for free (unpatched 2026 guide):
1.) Say a slur
2.) Get endorsement from a drunk developer
3.) Profit
Update: Due to mounting heat, and changing internal policies, these requirements may change.
what's crazy is that on top of all this happening, DBD is getting reviewbombed....by burntpeanut fans??????
on top of ALL of this, both parties are negatively reviewing the game.
One is for the harassment we faced
The other is the "bending the knee" asmongold shit
???

This apology absolutely skirts around the points being made by us. Trying to Frame this as an internal approval issue completely sidesteps the big question, why was this particular creator being given these benefits in the first place?? what was the reason that led to the decision? Trying to say the correct approvals weren't obtained doesn't really address any of the concerns people have nor does it explain WHY those concerns were initially dismissed (YOU EVEN SAID SO IN THIS APOLOGY) Accountability means addressing the decision itself and not just the process surrounding it.
You also reference your "core values" without defining what those are or how any of this contradicts them? If these values are so important to Dead by Daylight enough to invoke an apology with that included then surely the community deserves to understand what they mean in practice! Values shouldn't just be a convenient phrase that is used to distance a company from individual conduct it should be something consistently demonstrated, which lacks in this entire situation.
Threats and harassment towards employees are completely unacceptable and nobody should be subjected to that but it's important not to conflate that behaviour with actual criticism or use it to try and overshadow the concerns being raised. The community has EVERY right to question your decisions and expect answers. You acknowledge you've let people down but offer such little transparency and accountability or meaningful reassurance about what will change in the future. The community deserve an apology that dresses the issue itself and not just the fallout.
This weekend, a Dead by Daylight team member awarded in-game content and currency to a creator streaming our game. Although it is not unusual to unlock content to give creators discovering DbD a chance to have a sneak peek at available content, this decision was made without receiving appropriate approvals. Furthermore, the team member's subsequent comments and conduct do not align with Dead by Daylight’s core values.
When concerns about this decision became apparent during the stream, we should have responded by looking into these concerns, not dismissing them.
Unfortunately, we’ve now seen the fallout of this decision unfolding in many conversations across the DbD community. We appreciate and stand with our community’s willingness to ensure our shared values are being upheld, at all times, regardless of popularity, and we’re heartbroken at the inflammatory language now being directed towards our community.
At the same time, threatening employees will never be acceptable, and we’re asking everyone to stop engaging with these posts.
We apologize to our community for letting you down. We have already begun reviewing our internal processes to prevent an incident like this from happening again.
