🌿 MAKING spACE FOR COMMUNITY | AGRICULTURE, FOOD SYSTEMS & GCE 🌱
Our final workshop as part of Making spACE for Community is Agriculture, Food Systems, and GCE.
Could agriculture be part of the solution to climate change and biodiversity loss?
Join us for this engaging workshop exploring how we can create food systems that nourish our communities, restore ecosystems and support a more sustainable future.
Facilitated by Gareth Conlon, educator and co-founder and director of Síolta Chroí, this workshop will explore regenerative agriculture, biodiversity and the role of Global Citizenship Education in building a fairer, more sustainable world. Drawing on the work of Síolta Chroí and its regenerative farm, this workshop will ask: what could a better food system look like, and how can we help make it happen?

MAKING spACE FOR COMMUNITY 🌿| 💧 WATER IS LIFE WORKSHOP
We have three fantastic workshops to choose from that will take place as part of Making spACE for Community — and first up is Water is Life.
What lies beneath the surface of our rivers and streams, and how can we help protect these vital ecosystems?
Water is Life is an interactive and reflective workshop exploring our relationship with water and its importance to our lives, communities and the natural world.
Facilitated by Dr Suzanne Linnane and Dr Caroline Gilleran Stephens from the Centre for Freshwater and Environmental Studies @cfes_dkit, this hands-on session will invite participants to discover the hidden world beneath the surface of our waterways, explore the value of freshwater ecosystems, and learn how citizen science can empower individuals and communities to monitor, understand and protect their local rivers and streams.

Get ready to raise your voices with us at Making spACE for Community! ✨🎶
We’re delighted that this wonderful choir, the Mosaic Choir, will be joining us for Making spACE for Community, bringing their voices, energy and joy to the occasion!
Formed in the summer of 2022, the choir began with a beautiful purpose: to help learners develop their English listening, speaking and reading skills through the joy of music — in a fun, welcoming and non-academic way. Since then, the choir has become a permanent feature in LMETB King Street.
🌟 Their message is simple: every voice matters! 🌟
We can’t wait to hear them sing and celebrate the power of music to bring people together.
