Apple needs to come forward and issue a recall on iPhone Duo.
This phone has a fundamental problem with the hinge, and instances of the phone breaking are not uncommon.
Samsung had the courage to do the same, with the first Galaxy Fold.
And if Apple cares about its reputation, they should do the same.

Foldable iPhone Duo devices are reportedly breaking in large numbers, with displays failing along the hinge crease.
Buyers in Japan, China, Australia, and other countries have reported the same issue. In some cases, the display reportedly fails while the phone is still on display in stores.
The symptoms are identical: after just a few days of use, a black line appears across the screen.

I watched a video showing iPhone Duos with screen issues already.
Looks to me like an issue with the hinge system.
Looks like Apple will need to take a look and recall lots of phones at the end of the day.
