You don't have to like Elon to follow the logic in this one. Walk through it with me.
Think about how your city council or county commission works. You can be furious with them, vote them out, and start over. That only works because the people in charge can't rewrite the rules so they never face voters again.
Elon names three rule changes, not policies. Two new states mean four new senators. More Supreme Court seats mean a new majority overnight. Legalizing millions of people at once means a new electorate. Once the filibuster is gone, all three can pass with a bare majority. Statehood can't be undone, and packing the Court just dares the next majority to pack it back.
So ask yourself one honest question. Would you be fine with the other party doing this the next time they held the House, the Senate, and the White House? If not, a check in the Senate isn't partisan. It's insurance.
Here's the part most people miss. In 2028, 34 Senate seats are up, and Republicans are defending 19 of them, including Wisconsin and North Carolina. That map tilts against them. Whatever margin is built this Tuesday is the cushion that's left when the presidency is on the ballot. Win too narrowly now, and 2028 becomes the clean-sweep year Elon is worried about.
It matters for the next two years too. The Senate confirms judges and cabinet officers and decides which bills ever get a vote. Without it, nothing moves.
So vote however you want for the House, for your county, for your school board. Split your ticket if that's who you are. But hold the Senate. Nov 3. teapawt.org/elonmusk/status/211603…
My biggest concern is that if there is a clean sweep by Democrats of the House, Senate and Presidency in 2028, they will:
1. Make DC and Puerto Rico states to gain a strong majority in the Senate.
2. Open the borders and legalize everyone living in America illegally to cement a permanent majority.
3. Increase the size of the Supreme Court to gain an immediate majority.
This would result in America becoming a permanent one-party state and the end of democracy in any meaningful sense of the word.
All that is needed to ensure this doesn’t happen is 51 Republican senators in 2029. That is why you should vote for Republican senators this election. Other reasons are irrelevant compared to this one.

The recipe for a bloodbath:
Iran war (especially taking this long) = turns off the no more wars coalition
Congress not passing SAVE America Act = lose more base voters and election integrity
People feel their wallets getting lighter = lose some lean right normies who just want affordability.
Not empowering Elon to go all the way with DOGE = more base voters stay home feeling nothing will ever change in the bureaucracy.
Self important podcasters and influencers spent more time jockeying for attention by fighting with each other than fighting for the polices we want = Lose the interest of swing voters and splinter the already irritated base.
Congress refused to actually run a national narrative and if they did, even I don’t know what it was = lose fence sitters who want a plan.
No accountability for Epstein associates = Turns off base voters and MAGA/MAHA moms
Put all of it together and young men are irritated so they stayed home too.
We’ll have time to talk about how we fix this but right now it’s important to be honest about why we’re in this moment tonight. And don’t try to tell me the election was rigged. It wasn’t rigged. We got our asses kicked. If we want to fix it, we have to acknowledge the ass kicking and get to work.

Minutes before a private jet fell out of the sky onto a Florida street on Sunday, the pilots radioed in something that really shouldn't happen. They said ice was building up on the plane, and the temperature outside was 53 below zero.
At 53 below, there's almost no liquid water left in the air to freeze. Pretty much all of it has already turned into tiny ice crystals, and crystals mostly bounce right off a cold wing. For ice to stick and build up, you need water that's colder than freezing and somehow still liquid.
Up at 35,000 feet, there's basically one place you find that. It's the middle of a thunderstorm, where air rushes upward so fast it carries raindrops up before they get a chance to freeze.
So when the crew said "ice," they were also telling you where they were.
Everything else they told Miami Center points the same way. The turbulence was bouncing the jet up and down 700 feet at a time. Then they started flying through rain, at an altitude where weather is normally way below you. One radar analysis puts the jet inside a storm core a few minutes before it went down. Florida storms can build past 40,000 feet, so climbing another 2,000 may not have gotten them out of it.
Miami okayed the climb. Less than 30 seconds later the jet called out that it was descending, then mayday, then that it was in an "overspeed condition." In the reconstruction, the crew says they're banked 60 degrees. At that tilt, only half of the wing's lift is still holding the plane up.
The biggest update came Monday, from the wreckage. The NTSB says there's evidence the plane was already coming apart before it hit the ground, with debris spread over about half a mile of ball fields and homes. Jeff Guzzetti, who used to investigate crashes for the NTSB and the FAA, said pieces of the tail may have broken off in the turbulence or the dive. If that happened, nobody in that cockpit could have flown it out.
That matters for the question people always ask after something like this, whether the pilots could have saved it. If the tail came off up high, it was over before anyone on the street looked up. Investigators haven't identified the debris yet, and they still don't know if the cockpit voice recorder made it through the crater.
Nine people were on board, including a mom and dad and their two young kids. The NTSB is asking anyone with video from Sunday to send it to [email protected].
The crew went from calling the ice "manageable" to calling mayday in about a minute.
“We are banking 60 degrees.”
I built this Learjet 60 N722BD crash visualization using ADS-B flight tracks, altitude and ground-speed records, final ATC radio calls, aerial imagery and crash-site photos.
Radio-timed cockpit and exterior views put the descent into perspective, followed by actual dashcam impact footage. Estimated portions are clearly marked.

Sometimes you get your ass kicked, and deserve it
Tonight is one such time for the Republican Party
Way too many mistakes. Bad messaging. Poor candidates. High prices. Unnecessary war that did not go as promised.
We get up tomorrow and carry on. But there are lessons here.
If you sponsor this podcast, calling for the execution of Elon Musk, I will never use your product… and will buy from both of your top two competitors
This is unacceptable and dangerous.
This a dog whistle to murder someone because you disagree with them — and this is the same guy who joked about the assassination against President Trump.
Fuck this piece of shit.

The total difficulty of cooling in space is vastly harder than on the ground
But 99.9999% of that challenge is Starship
Once you have the ability to get huge amounts of mass into space cheaply, it is genuinely easier to cool things in space
Your cooling system is passive
Just a giant piece of metal that is a) light w/ b) high thermal conductivity
Aluminum is a good candidate
And then you have a working fluid that just circulates forever inside the metal structure
Ammonia is historical industry standard for radiators in space
You need a fluid where the critical point is optimized around the temperature of the chips
The working fluid goes from liquid phase to gas phase near the chips, and this change in density drives the hotter gas to pump heat through a loop
The high thermal conductivity of aluminum rips heat out of the fluid and black body radiation ejects heat into space
Black body radiation goes like temperature to the 4th power so the hotter you can run chips and hotter you can get the working fluid the better you can shed heat
It's honestly a way simpler system than on the ground

Muslims have a plan to make America a Muslim nation.
Marxists have a plan to make America a Marxist nation.
Secular Progressives have a plan to make America a Secular Progressive nation.
… but Christians seem to always have a plan to keep Christianity from further influencing our nation by discipling people into either:
1) Political apathy (“God is sovereign, back off”, “we don’t get political, just do evangelism”)
2) Political ambiguity (“Jesus isn’t a Republican or Democrat, neither Right nor Left” = primary application of gospel to culture)
If continued, this will have very predictable (and disastrous) results in coming years, and a few conversations with pastors in deep blue cities / states trying to build churches, pastor people, and raise Christian families will help you realize it.

Writing this in my personal capacity, but I have been flying these types of aircraft for more than 20 years, with over 8,000 hours, and have reasonable familiarity with how the charter world operates. I feel compelled to post after seeing commentary about the Lear 60 crash, from missile strikes to DEI to critiquing this poor woman’s final radio calls.
That last part is what I find most troubling. She was the second-in-command (SIC), and while she was empowered to point out mistakes as part of good crew resource management, she was doing her job, communicating with ATC right to the end in a terrifying situation. She likely knew before many of those calls that she was going to die. I have heard final calls from friends, from military pilots with thousands of hours in fighter aircraft, and they are just as heartbreaking because they know the end is approaching.
I understand the public interest given the footage and audio. But you do not know the aircraft’s maintenance history, whether there was a structural failure, if any failure was induced by turbulence, overspeed, or overcontrol, or everything happening in that cockpit. I am sure weather will be part of the investigation, but beyond that, it is speculation. The charter industry routinely hires commercial pilots very early in their careers to gain experience alongside an ATP-qualified captain before they move up to the airlines. She would still have the appropriate training, qualifications, and checkouts by an FAA examiner or designee.
Let people investigate, learn, and share the facts. Be respectful to those who perished and the families who carry their memories. God bless them and their loved ones.

We need to start a doomsday panic scorecard.
Every time someone declares a civil war, or climate apocalypse, or nuclear armageddon & WW3 for the 9,000th time, it never comes to pass, but we just move on, so 5 months later they do it again, and people fall for it, again.
The apocalypse isn't happening in your lifetime, folks. The real shit is some overpaid bureaucrat in your municipal water district is gonna get lazy with their emails, and your reservoir is gonna be empty when some other overpaid state park bureaucrat forgets to monitor a smoldering plant for an entire week, then your entire town burns up in a wildfire, your grandma burns alive and then 400 more people die from accelerated cancers from the toxic smoke.
Buying into these theatrical fantasies of global catastrophe only serves our corrupt government, distracting you from the true menace in your life. It's so exhausting. I used to indulge in these catastrophic conspiracy theories, but I had to learn the hard way that it's just plain old government incompetence that's the biggest threat to your daily life.
Whether it's getting stabbed in the neck by some zombie that your taxpayer dollars are paying to keep drugged up, a foreign truck driver with a fake CDL issued by your state DMV plowing through your family minivan, or the esophageal cancer you get from the carcinogenic lining in the save-the-turtles paper straws they make you use...despite all the Chicken Littles throughout time, warning of some cinematic end to your life, it's communists in government who've quietly racked up 100M+ body count in the last century.
Stop indulging these cartoonish macabre fantasies and get real.
Under pressure from Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu, the Trump administration may be within days of launching a nuclear strike on Iran. The target would be Pickax Mountain in central Iran, where Israeli intelligence claims the Iranian government has restarted its nuclear enrichment program. No conventional weapon in the American arsenal can penetrate 300 feet of solid granite to destroy the tunnels where enrichment is supposedly taking place. The only military option is a nuclear strike. Netanyahu has been pushing hard for one. “Bibi calls Trump about it every day,” says an informed observer.
Netanyahu is cornered and desperate. After last week’s election results, he can’t form a government unless Trump intervenes directly in Israeli politics and brokers a deal with other parties that gives Netanyahu 61 seats in the Knesset. Otherwise, he is out as prime minister and on his way to ignominy, investigations and possibly jail. Netanyahu must stay close to Trump. He needs this war.
To that end, he’s applied maximum pressure to his closest allies in the administration, including Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth and CENTCOM commander Brad Cooper. Both oppose a negotiated settlement to the war they’ve so grievously mismanaged; both are pushing to restart major combat operations. Secretary of State Marco Rubio and CIA director John Ratcliffe are also following Netanyahu’s lead, as are leaders of the Democratic Party. In a recent meeting on the subject, former president Barack Obama said he opposes the current Iran peace deal being drafted in Doha.
The rest of America’s longtime allies in the Middle East are terrified by the prospect of more war. On September 27th, Netanyahu flew secretly to Abu Dhabi to enlist the UAE in his lobbying effort for a final attack on Iran. The Emiratis refused. After eight months of conflict, Gulf economies are teetering. So are global energy and fertilizer markets. They won’t recover soon. Globally, there are a total of about 850 supertankers used to transport oil from producers to the rest of the world. In October alone, 11 of them were badly damaged in Hormuz. At this pace, a global depression is imminent. A nuclear strike would radically accelerate the destruction. Fallout from a ground explosion at Pickax Mountain would contaminate the Persian Gulf, poisoning the water supply for 100 million people.
And those are just some of the immediate consequences for the region. The rest of the world is every bit as exposed. No country other than the United States has ever used a nuclear weapon in war. Some would like to. An American nuclear attack on Iran would set a new precedent. The Russians have already told at least two other governments that an American nuclear strike on Iran would free them to use nuclear weapons against Ukraine. Pakistan and India would be tempted to do the same against each other, as would North Korea against Seoul. After the first nuclear strike, World War Three is inevitable. That war would be short and final.
We’ve been sleepwalking toward this moment for months. Since February, the administration has quietly rewritten America’s nuclear doctrine to make first use of so-called “battlefield nukes” easier and therefore more likely. No one in Washington in either party seems bothered by this. Now we’re on the brink of it.
Close observers say Trump is likely to decide by next weekend whether or not to use nuclear weapons. That would be November 7, six days from now. To his credit, he’s hesitating. At the moment, Trump is listening to his vice president, JD Vance, and to his envoy and friend Steve Witkoff, both of whom argue a deal with Iran can be made.
They’re right, though it won’t be simple. The Iranians are famously frustrating to negotiate with under any circumstances, and elements of that government have become more radical since Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and his family were killed in February. After decades of isolation, even relatively moderate Iranian leaders seem confused by how decisions are made in the West. (There is a widespread belief in Tehran, for example, that the United States government controls Israel.) But overall, people who have spoken to decision-makers in Iran say there is consensus there that more war is bad for everyone and a deal is worth making.
One group that hasn’t been consulted so far is the global population — the hundreds of millions of people who will be killed along with their children if Trump is pushed by Netanyahu into launching a nuclear strike next week. Now would be the time for them to speak up.
Fort Worth… It’s happening.
I’ve been seeing more and more Cybercabs when driving in and around the Dallas/Fort Worth area and it looks like Fort Worth just wants it more than Dallas right now.
Let’s roll.

Working at Oculus would have been an utter waste of my time except for one thing.
While I was there, I realized what's wrong with leftists.
Not that they have been programmed, that's obvious. Not why they have been programmed. For power, that's obvious, too.
But how they have been programmed.
The exact method that their moral compass has been destroyed works like this:
Target a bunch of people with very few deeds and accomplishments, such as young people or incompetent people, or incompetent young people.
Create for them an environment where they are rewarded with moral approval, not for what they do, but for believing certain ideas.
The ideas don't have to be outrageous, or absurd, or have anything to do with what you actually need them to believe. In fact, it's better to start with something innocuous.
Why? Because the goal isn't to install those beliefs at all. The goal is to repeat this process until you create a person who measures his moral worth by what he believes, not what he does.
Keep at this until you have created a mass of people who not only reward themselves with a feeling of moral superiority for believing the right things, but who will reward each other for believing orthodox things, and who will compete with each other, not to do the most good, but to have the most orthodox beliefs.
Now, change one of the propositions you have programmed them with to a slightly more radical version of itself, and hold this up as a more correct version of the old belief, which has been newly discovered by scholarly investigations into culture and moral philosophy.
Sit back, watch, and give them a few weeks to compete with each other to adopt the new belief, and to condemn the "evil" of anyone who believes the old belief, the very thing they believed last month.
Repeat this process until they are used to rapidly changing their entire belief system in response to an external cue.
Congratulations, you have a population of entirely programmable people whose moral compass is not just broken, but entirely non-existent.
They don't care what any person in front of them actually does. Only that he believe the orthodox thing, which they just learned about in last week's memo.
They are willing to do anything, so long as it is done in support of their current belief system, which can be replaced whenever it's convenient to do so.
They are willing to burn down an entire city with no qualms whatsoever if they are doing it in support of the idea that black lives matter.
They are willing to murder a man in front of his children, and it doesn't matter if his actions were entirely peaceful and good, because all that matters to them is whether he believes the correct things or not.
And a man who builds cheap spaceflight for the human race, develops viable electric cars to save the environment, restores voices to the voiceless, and plans, for his next trick, to heal the blind... well, all those are deeds, so none of them matter. The only thing that matters is that he told people to vote republican once, which is wrongthink.
So what you have a horde of communist zombies, who can be steered to shuffle in any direction and attack the living, eat their brains, and turn them into more zombies.
Once someone becomes one of the zombies, you can't cure him, because a moral compass can only be repaired by understanding the consequences of actions in a new way... and they don't care about actions or consequences. They only care about beliefs, and not about consequences at all.
Their moral compasses aren't just broken. They are absent. There's nothing to repair.
You have to understand that the zombies are zombies now.

My thoughts on the Lear 60 crash here in Palm Beach country.
God bless the crew and passengers.
Saxon nailed it. Nothing has changed since 2015 because most companies are afraid to take any risks.
The corporate world has become paint-by-numbers when it comes to cars, movies, and programming.
Executives have become so afraid of failing that they use algorithms for everything and won’t risk doing anything creative or different anymore.
We need a renaissance before everything becomes gray and beige.
Replying to @Grimezsz
Nonetheless, look at how generic and banal day-to-day corpo fashion and cars have become for over 2 decades!!
Time for a total reset in fashion.
To quote my son, Saxon, “Why does everything today look like 2015??
The future should look like the future!”
We will make it so.

I don’t think any forecaster or poll said early voting would be over 10% higher than 2022 with 2 days to go, with party registration and modeled party ID about the same as 2022 (D+11 versus D+10).
Almost everyone was expecting all the turnout gains from 2022 to be from Democrats, especially in the high-EV high-Pop states of Texas and California. But no, Texas is modeled to be mutually and equally higher and California to be the same by Party ID.
IT’S THE SAME ELECTORATE AS 2022 but with 10-13% more volume. 2022 was R+3 nationally and all the incumbents in the Senate and all but one in the Governor’s mansions won reelection.
In 2022, they were coming off a leftward shift from 2016 to 2020. In 2026, we’re coming off a rightward shift from 2020 to 2026.
The economy is much better in every single way than in November of 2022. Iran/Middle East looks much less “bad” than Afghanistan did for the Biden Admin, not to mention Ukraine/Russia. Obviously immigration is the opposite of what it was in 2022, and that will help Republicans with Republicans and Indies in Republican States.
The polls you’re seeing are built on a *large* Democrat turnout advantage. That is not happening. Look at the evidence. It isn’t happening anywhere except North Carolina.
They’re also built on a large preference shift—but really only with under 45 voters. Older voters didn’t shift much from 2022 to 2024, and they’re unlikely to shift in 2026. Hence why quality polls unharmed by Desperation Democrat response rates are just a Reverse 2022.
