Same energy as those tweets claiming E-Day is successful.
🚨FINALLY: President Trump just announced that the Strait of Hormuz will be completely open by tomorrow.
Don’t fill up your tank today unless you have to. Gas should be down to $2.50 a gallon by Friday. Monday at the latest.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
The video is from a June 2026 statement, not a recent announcement. The Strait of Hormuz remains severely restricted (~8% normal traffic) as of Oct 30 2026 with US gas averaging ~$4.20/gallon.

Do not slander millennials with this garbage take, thank you.
The truth is a lot simpler than this.
Gears/Halo/pick a thing, none of them will return to their glory until you SLOW IT DOWN. Quite frankly, the logic that we changed is so fricken wrong. Especially given how many new, even younger players, have picked up gears from the original trilogy. The games clearly changed, and for the worse.
I've said it multiple times, and I'll say it until I'm blue in the face... There is too much of an obsession to go fast in these games. The people who made these franchises what they are are millennials. They grew up with them as slower experiences, and now, have aged to a point where they have zero interest in the ADHD gameplay. To say E-day or any of the newer gears aren't that is ridiculous. Adding sliding might have been the biggest misunderstanding of what makes the series appealing I've ever seen. Speed was never the problem to solve, it was tension.
With E-day, they clearly opted to go fast and make it more "gamer-y". Honestly, compare it to the first 3 games, and the overall lack of identity is astounding, even on a main menu level.
I haven't beat the campaign yet, but IMO you get the sense immediately that this was doomed from the start. Vision was clearly wrong.
The fact that people aren't even disputing the $500 million dollar claim anymore tells me this shit probably cost $600 million.
Gears of War: E-Day did cost $500 million, according to Bloomberg's Jason Schreier:
"That is a real number. That is real. That's what we're looking at here, that's what [AAA] games cost to make. Especially in North America these days".

Don't worry this is just for E-Day players
The US military is practicing digging mass graves.
•@grok• TRUE or FALSE
Gears Reloaded sold more copies on PlayStation than Gears E-Day has on Steam + Xbox. Get fucked.
