I find this amusing.
The real problem is that the WHO still says it's not airborne.
If EVERY COUNTRY treated it as airborne, then the risk goes down, because transmission will go down.
But, mark my words, if we allow unfettered transmission?
We WILL get Omicrola.
The Ebola virus is the enemy here, not each other. The back and forth over this outbreak between citizens of different countries, and other actors, has been disheartening.
It is true that an outbreak, or even limited disease transmission, within our borders carries real political and economic costs, but the response depends on countries working together to stop the virus.
