China's Constellation Trio—Long March 6A, 8A, and 12—are now maintaining a steady monthly cadence before reusable rockets achieve commercial maturity. It's deliberate strategy to hold the orbital frontline by brute-forcing industrial scale with expendables.

ICYMI: the International Space Station was seen crossing in front of the Moon earlier this morning from Florida’s Space Coast (left image, taken by me). @astro_anil was also looking down from the station around the same time and caught the Florida peninsula lit by the near-full moon (right image).
A look at our pass at the same time. The first city lights are Mexico Yucatán then you will see the Gulf, then Florida on that pass.

Hearing that the Kinetica Y2 mission to launch a batch of 18 SpaceSail LEO broadband satellites is planned for November 03.
Alongside Kinetica-1 heading out to sea, CAS-SPACE is also preparing the launch of liquid-fueled Kinetica-2 Y2 in October, tasked with deploying a batch of 18 satellites for LEO mega-constellation deployment. (Kinetica-2 Y1 in the video)

Roll out solar arrays will be installed during next week's spacewalk. You can see two of them folded and ready to be installed and you can also see how they look when they are installed (look in front of the big ones - the new ones are smaller and slightly tilted).

SpinLaunch wants to throw rockets the way a hammer thrower throws a hammer. Its Suborbital Accelerator at Spaceport America in New Mexico is a one third scale test version. An arm inside a vacuum sealed chamber whirls the projectile, then lets it go. In September 2022 it flew a NASA Flight Opportunities sensor payload that recorded what the ride is like. I doubt it ever reaches orbit, but I'm glad someone is trying.

$RKLB 🚀 Rocket Lab's bar for a first flight is pretty simple: "I don't believe in the, 'We'll collect good data today, but it blew up just off the pad or halfway up.' That's not success for us. Success is reaching orbit. It's not common for a new vehicle architecture to reach orbit in the first flight, but that is certainly our objective. You won't see us minimizing some qualifier about us just clearing the pad and claiming success.” - Peter Beck That's the standard Neutron is being built to. Patience 🧘‍♂️
