I own a Switch 2, and I buy new releases legally.
But holy shit people on here worry way too much about other people pirating already good selling games.

Fire Emblem, which graphically looks like shit and shouldn't be demanding on modern hardware, is using AI upscaling so the resolution isn't even native and the game doesn't run above 30fps. Switch 2 emulator exists to further enhance these games and make them playable

Phantom Blade is following the recent PlayStation Trend and adding QTE's that are completely POINTLESS. They have the SAME OUTCOME whether you hit it or not. Gaming really is devolving because of Game Journalists.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
QTEs in Phantom Blade Zero have different outcomes based on success or failure, such as enabling chained executions on additional enemies if hit (per combat guides and reviews); failure can also cause player damage or scene changes unlike the claim.

the reason modern shows are so shit, is the advice given to novice writers "write what you know"
That was fine back when people lived trough world wars, great depression, korea, vietnam, espionage
Now peoples experiences are reduced to being transgender and having panic attacks

In case you're wondering, Malfoid has already surpassed the entire Brazilian Miku trend. By all accounts, Malfoid has officially BROKEN THE INTERNET.

Jason Schreier is slept on as an architect of gaming's degeneration. He's not directly responsible for every layoff or closure, but he was key in creating the chilling effect on creativity that led to this. Darkly humorous to see him post about the mighty BioWare's fall.

The fact that one needs 10~14 months to get a simple visa means that your system is more broken than the North Korean economy and the fact that you blame Cygames for this means that the chicken I had for lunch just now had more brain cells than you

Wrong. Umamusume group isn't at fault.
Visa processing is supposed to take 14 days.
It currently takes 13 months.
You can only apply 12 months from the event.
It's impossible to get a performance visa for America without paying insane fees due to Trump's incompetence.
I feel its important to present evidence on how its actually the Umamusume group that is at fault for this situation.
To get a VISA as an Athlete, artist, or entertainer. You need to fill out the I-129 Form. Processing time usually takes from 13-15 month as you can see "attached photo"
The Umamusume group apparently sent in VISA requests 6 months ago. Which means they didn't even likely do it in time for processing length.
Now there is a Premium processing form called (Form I-907). This form guarantees USCIS action within 15 business days for an additional fee of about $2,965 per petition. This is the required fee as of the March 2026 adjustment.
Now at this time we have no idea if the participants paid for Premium Processing. We however do know they sent it in 6 months ago.
So if we go by the information given, we can assume they didn't do Premium Processing.
Also its worth noting the price as of March is way over 6 months ago. So it wasn't a change to fees after they sent in their application form.
O-1 (extraordinary ability) and P-1/P-3 (athletes, entertainers, culturally unique artists) VISAs were created under the Immigration Act of 1990. They have always involved high evidentiary standards, required consultation with labor unions or peer groups, and been subject to security screening. Complaints about slow, inconsistent, or unpredictable processing date back at least to the early 2000s.
After Post-9/11 and 2000s: Increased security scrutiny lengthened timelines making the processing of VISAs longer.
Premium processing which I mentioned above comes into play here. (guaranteeing faster USCIS action for an extra fee) was introduced around 2001; arts groups noted that regular (non-premium) processing often lagged as a result thanks to a post 9/11 world.
Now we move into the Biden years and post-COVID: Pandemic backlogs affected the broader system. Non-premium processing I-129 medians were relatively contained in some years, but O/P artist-specific processing began lengthening more noticeably from around mid-2024. Interview waiver rules were also being tightened.
So in conclusion its a known issue that has been getting worse with time and Covid made it even worse with backing up the system.
I am not saying Trump hasn't tighten the program, but to put it all on him is wrong. Overall this seems to be a case of not applying in time and likely refusing to purchase the Premium Processing.

Playing free versions of old games has led me to purchasing newer entries on many occasions, and there's no reason at all to assume that it wouldn't. Not only am I not taking away from a sale of a 20 year old game, the old game acts as free advertising for new entries.
the processing time used to be 2 months back in 2021 btw
It is with heavy hearts that we must announce the cancellation of the Umamusume: Pretty Derby – 7th EVENT: THE STAGE in LOS ANGELES concerts planned for Oct 22–23, 2026.
Although we have coordinated repeatedly with all parties concerned and explored every possible option in our efforts to make this event happen, we were unable to obtain the necessary visas for entry into the US, so we have come to the painful conclusion that holding the concerts is no longer possible.
To all the Trainers who were eagerly looking forward to the show, we sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and concern this causes, and for announcing this so close to the event date.
Due to this cancellation, we will process refunds for the following:
