Wanted to say this as well regarding the current PvP sentiment and state of the market. At first I actually liked OTC, but the more I looked into it the more I realized how terrible it is. I genuinely think we all need to stop buying OTC coins, and there are 3 main reasons why I think the entire setup doesn’t work and simply fuels more hyper PvP and unnecessary rotation 1 - They aren’t even actual pairs, they’re just reward baskets (LP is still SOL). It’s essentially a placebo psyop effect that encourages even more PvP. If anyone actually wants to buy these stocks, they can literally just buy them with Solana (no one cares) The entire idea of pairing is that you’re pairing a coin to the actual LP of whatever it’s associated with, not throwing random stocks into a reward basket. Reward baskets are genuinely useless. 2 - If there’s a runner that’s linked to Elon, for example, it should either just be paired with Solana or, if it’s a meme or narrative revolving around one of his companies, it should only be paired with that specific company. Not all 3 of his companies at once. The entire point is to have a relevant pairing that actually makes sense for the narrative, not to attach as many companies as possible just because you can. 3 - PvP is already as bad as it is, and we’ve somehow managed to create one of the most useless vamp setups I’ve seen. If there’s an AI meme, instead of just pairing it with the actual story or company the narrative is based around, people are pairing it with 11 completely random AI companies that have absolutely nothing to do with it. What’s even the point? If someone wants exposure to those stocks, they can just buy them with Solana separately. And the funniest part is that literally nobody cares about the rewards anyway. Everyone just sells them the second they get them. All we’re doing is creating more unnecessary rotation, more incentives to PvP, and more ways to extract liquidity from an already struggling market. I actually liked the concept initially, but the way it’s being used right now is doing more harm than good IMO.

making the boss call @AxiomExchange @gmgnai @TradingTerminal remove OTC pairs as a ui integration on your terminals they have zero use case, every trader hates them, and simply taking off the the ui badge that they currently have will disincentivize any devs from deploying using OTC and if you need any other traders to vouch for this, i'm sure they will be in the replies to cosign

OTC is starting to be a problem. I really liked it at first, but now it’s just pure vampslop. Haven’t received a single airdrop in weeks (not sure if we need to manually claim, but I’ve received 0 for holding). On top of that, coins are sometimes getting paired with 9+ random ones that don’t even fit the narrative. And let’s be honest, nobody cares about multiple stock rewards. Besides not even receiving them, we’re selling them anyway at the end. I feel like it only benefits and promotes vampers now. Maybe it’s time to remove this psyop from our heads and bid normal pairs/coins again. Am I the only one thinking this?
