@TeamRE_UK it sometimes feels like we are slogging away and all of our careful work is going unnoticed. And then you get a little message like this from a quiet Hindu student. We must never forget the value of what we do in RE.

I know you are very busy @andyburnham but if you could spare five minutes to read this important blog about Religious Education in schools and teacher training, I’d be incredibly grateful! @Kegs77 and I will also be at party conference, we’d love to talk further.
👩‍🎓Every child deserves an expert teacher, including in RE. But with specialist RE teacher numbers falling, are we giving the subject, and our pupils, the support they deserve? Read NATRE Chair Katie Freeman’s latest blog post: natre.org.uk/news/children-d… #TeamRE #religiouseducation

A-level RS entries have fallen for the 5th consecutive year. But behind the figures is a bigger concern - students cannot choose a subject their school cannot offer. Half of schools with sixth forms offering GCSE RS don’t offer it at A level. 👉🏼 natre.org.uk/news/lack-of-re…
