I recommend this episode of “Leading” to #TeamRE. I had no idea Jacinda Ardern grew up as a Mormon. It includes a fascinating conversation about identity and developing your own ethical worldview.
Jacinda Ardern: Why I Stepped Down As Prime Minister of New Zealand (LEADING) @jacindaardern joins @campbellclaret and @RoryStewartUK to discuss: 🤔Being prime minister with imposter syndrome 🇳🇿How countries in the pacific navigate between China and the US 🦠How she reflects on dealing with Covid 19

I attended the annual #Arbaeen pilgrimage to #Karbala in Iraq this summer. Here is a 🧵 that attempts to share my experience for the RE community to perhaps benefit from.

Many teachers are currently in the process of moving to Bluesky. @AndyLewis_RE has started a list of RE teachers - let him know at andylewis-re on Bs if you want to be added. We are working on setting up a feed… This account is likely to be used less. Sorry!

I know that as a specialist & skilled RE teacher, @josephkinnaird will be thinking carefully about how he is going to respond to those difficult questions in his classroom in September @TeamRE_UK need to consider how we support teachers with other specialisms teaching RE.
I’ve been horrified by the events of the last week. In September, I’ll go back into the classroom with even more determination to teach about religion authentically in hope that the next generation have a far better understanding of society and their place within it.

If you had to choose a single sentence from the Bible that describes your central component of theology, what would it be?

Interesting thread on a personal pilgrimage here ⬇️
Just returned from a 5 day pilgrimage, walking from London to Canterbury with no money, tent, phone, or much of a plan other than to keep walking until I got there. It was a hard but peaceful & rich experience, through layers of history & miles of exquisitely beautiful nature…

Five years ago today a small group met on one of the hottest days in the year to scope the @culhamstgabriel leadership scholarship programme. We have now supported over 40 teachers to develop their leadership roles at local, regional and national level.

Probably listing all the reasons why I love RS.. 😅 Today, I presented our first ever KS4 core RS curriculum to SLT: Religion & Ethics. Bespoke, relevant, purposeful, engaging, and academically challenging. Feeling an immense sense of gratitude to have an SLT that values it! 🙏🏽
