Why is Netflix advertising this fully remote software engineering job in the Seattle Times Classifieds this week - but the same job isn't listed on their career website?
We bet a lot of Americans would take a fully remote job at Netflix for a $750k salary!

On December 5, 2019, I led a workshop in NYC on using Coldcard and Wasabi with members of the local Bitcoin community.
We helped attendees set up a Coldcard on testnet using a dice-generated seed and demonstrated how to CoinJoin with Wasabi.
Although we encouraged people to roll dice, and this workshop took place before the vulnerable firmware release (v3.05 was the latest version at the time), **if you attended and aren't certain how or when you initialized your wallet, please move your funds out of an abundance of caution.**
Please share this post. We didn't keep a list of attendees, so this is the only way I know to reach people who may have been affected.
My heart goes out to everyone impacted. I'm deeply sorry.

Only one chance in this lifetime…
Like watching sunset at the beach from the most foreign seat in the cosmos, I couldn’t resist a cell phone video of Earthset. You can hear the shutter on the Nikon as @Astro_Christina is hammering away on 3-shot brackets and capturing those exceptional Earthset photos through the 400mm lens. @AstroVicGlover was in window 3 watching with @Astro_Jeremy next to him.
I could barely see the Moon through the docking hatch window but the iPhone was the perfect size to catch the view…this is uncropped, uncut with 8x zoom which is quite comparable to the view of the human eye. Enjoy.

We had 200K immigrant truck drivers???
Some 200,000 immigrant truck drivers will begin to lose their commercial driver’s licenses as they expire under a new Trump administration rule that takes effect Monday. wapo.st/40ALq6V

Hi Senator, this is a random suburb outside of Indianapolis. If you had to guess, how many trucking companies do you think are in this photo? 10? 30? 90?

You might try hiring Americans.
BREAKING NEWS: We're filing a lawsuit challenging the Trump administration's unlawful new $100k fee for H-1B visas.
H-1B visas allow U.S. employers—like OSU & U of O—to hire skilled foreign workers in specialized roles like physicians, researchers, & nurses. #orpol #breakingnews

ALT H-1B visas allow U.S. employers to hire highly skilled foreign national workers in specialized roles — like physicians, researchers, and nurses. In September, Trump announced a new, unprecedented $100,000 fee for these visas. This creates a costly, unlawful barrier, especially for nonprofit and government employers trying to fill these roles.

ALT Oregon State University currently sponsors more than 150 H-1B faculty researchers and staff, and the University of Oregon sponsors more than 50 H-1B faculty, researchers, and staff. Eliminating access to these roles would inflict significant institutional harm, deprive students of critical educational opportunities, and increase financial burden here in Oregon.

You are a taker, not a maker. All you’ve done your whole life is take from the makers of the world.
The zero-sum mindset you have is at the root of so much evil. Once you realize that civilization is not zero-sum and that it is about making far more than one consumes, then it becomes obvious that the path to prosperity for all is just let the makers make.
Regarding Tesla, the reality is that I have been given nothing.
However, if I lead Tesla to become the most valuable company in the world by far and it stays that way for 5 years, shareholders voted to award me 12% of what is built. Anyone who wants to come along for the ride can buy Tesla stock.
If Tesla “merely” becomes a $1.999 trillion dollar company, I get nothing. This is a great deal for shareholders, which is why they voted so overwhelmingly to approve this, for which I am immensely grateful.
And they did so by a margin far more than you won your political seat.

The Left just blew all their trust.
Normies see a nice guy doing a simple debate, not a political speech, not leading a rally or a riot, getting gunned down in 4k.
Then they see a bunch of people, even their friends, cheer and clap and dance. They ask why.
"Well, you see, he was evil!" they cry gleefully, eyes feral.
The normie just stares a the screen. A clean cut guy with a microphone is bleeding out horrifically. It reminds them of the scared young blonde they saw bleeding out on the subway just a few days ago. A question forms.
"What did he do that made him evil?" they ask.
"He SAID things!" they scream back, a bit of spittle flying from their mouths.
"So you are happy they murdered him....for talking?"
"YESSSS!!!! You get it now!" claps their kids teacher, their pilot, or their doctor.
The normie is horrified. Someone they trust their kids to, their health to, or their safety is acting like a foaming, raging lunatic who wants people dead because they said something they didn't like.
Do you realize how this comes across?

They killed a 31 year old father of two whose only crime was to go to university campuses and engage in good faith with people who disagreed with him. If this isn’t a wake up call then we’re never going to wake up.
