Only taxpayers should be allowed to vote.
Anyone on welfare benefits should forfeit their right to vote until they are off of government assistance.

I'm noticing the growing possibility that Europe becomes very poor in the course of the next 10-20 years. You have the following factors:
- Heavy industry totally uncompetitive against China, automakers etc. rapidly losing ground
- Services industry totally uncompetitive against AI
- No natural resources, or regulatory hurdles making their extraction impossible
- No access to the new economy (no AI, no data centers, uncompetitive energy sector)
- Client states caught in one-way welfare ratchets, spend reallocation + investment well-nigh impossible
This seems under-contemplated. And we're talking really, seriously dirt poor: taken to its logical conclusion, many countries will have much, much smaller services and manufacturing industries -- economies may become much more heavily skewed toward natural resources and energy markets, where Europe has made it impossible for itself to compete.
And I'm not saying that this is likely to happen, it's an extreme case. But the probability is greater than zero and appears to be growing. The EV of that is so negative that it's surprising to me that it's not coming up more.

Thank you, @elonmusk, for investing in the next generation. More than $8 billion has already been deposited into children’s accounts, and this extraordinary donation will push that total even higher.
As @TrumpAccounts continues to grow we look forward to more philanthropists joining the movement and helping children across America jumpstart their financial future.
For more information, please visit TrumpAccounts.gov and download the Trump Accounts app to claim your child’s account today. 🇺🇸

Goldman Sachs says yields are surging because there are "zero buyers" of US debt, and it's "totally bidless"
This is not a doomsday prediction, just an observation that sellers are finding it difficult to find liquidity without moving the price
This isn't solved by higher yields attracting liquidity either, because the largest buyers of US debt don't care about absolute yield, they care about their spread
This is a liquidity issue, and can only be "solved" (temporarily) by a large enough increase in the money supply
the midcurving on SOL comes from a profound cynicism about crypto's future
what's going to happen is that crypto adoption is going to 100x
it will not just be perps, or RWAs, or memes -- it will be all of it
the totality of old finance combined with the weirdness of new finance, at planetary scale
and at that game, Solana is king
to that effect, one framing I've been riffing on: SOL is new money
'new' is a powerful & optimistic word -- it represents possibility and the infinite, rather than marginally optimizing spreadsheet accounting
it is too early in the game to treat novel internet money as it were a derivative of Costco stock. blockchains that scale are barely 2-3 years old
it's 2004, you can opt for JP Morgan or you can go for Apple
neither are wrong, but one is more optimistic

.@larry_kudlow in @NewYorkSun gets it right. Here are the facts:
The dollar was on one side of 89.2% of global FX trades.
Foreign investors still hold enormous amounts of U.S. assets. The principal stablecoins are dollar-denominated. Treasury buybacks are about adding liquidity and managing the maturity structure, not somehow controlling a $30T+ market.
Median household income in 2025: $87,460 — a record.
Official poverty rate: 10.2% — a historic low.
Atlanta Fed GDP forecast: 5.1% annualized real GDP growth in Q3.
And that’s before looking under the hood at the private-sector momentum behind capex and the AI buildout.
The latest numbers show continued employment growth, while business investment and capital expenditures have been expanding, as the CapEx comeback story has continued to broaden out, with nearly 20% more equipment investment in Q2 2026 than at the end of Biden’s term.
Americans deserve honest coverage.
In the New York Times’s latest feeble attempt at delivering a hit piece on the greatest economy in history, the discredited journal selectively excludes data that contradicts this dull narrative. Granted, it’s nothing new that they fail to provide their readers with the full story.
Complicated financial realities should not be reduced to easy-to-read sentences that serve a preordained narrative.
This article’s problem is not complexity. It is selectivity.
If capital is supposedly running from America, why does the data keep showing strong foreign demand for U.S. assets?
If investors are “balking” at Treasuries, someone forgot to tell the bidders.
Norway is not looking elsewhere; it is switching from Treasuries to agency bonds. Still US assets.
Netherlands is bringing gold back from North America, including Ottawa as well as New York, reflecting a home country preference.
We see this morning that Saudi Arabia has dropped out of mBridge and others are likely to follow.
And if digital finance is supposed to threaten the dollar, why are stablecoins overwhelmingly dollar-denominated?
The record is not ambiguous.

Your house isn't selling even though you reduced the price by 5-10% because the monthly cost is still up 70%+
And that's WITHOUT accounting for maintenance, repairs, and every other cost that comes with home ownership

After a year of intense daily bipartisan negotiations, this bill is ready. Here is the final text. President Trump voluntarily agreed to new ethics provisions holding every federally elected official, judge, and their spouses to some of the toughest ethics restrictions in U.S. history. This new text includes more than 120 of Democrats' demands. A no vote on Tuesday means opposing real ethics reforms on politicians' personal investments, handing American leadership in digital assets to our foreign competitors, and leaving Americans with zero protections in the digital asset markets. Democrats got what they wanted; now they need to take yes for an answer. Here's the latest: lummis.senate.gov/press-rele…
