I recall near unanimity that the Speaker of the House would have to step down because had clowned himself and made a mockery of the institution, but then - as tends to happen with anything a bit awkward - the matter was dropped like a shitty stick and then never mentioned again.

It's 'mainstream' politics and media that have been 'obsessing over Zionism', not Polanski, in an exact repeat of the effort to derail Corbyn.
.@TheGreenParty is back down to 8%, which is where it was when @ZackPolanski became leader
Partly due to ‘Burnham bounce’ but also because obsessing over Zionism isn’t very popular. Best to focus on practical policies to aid Palestinians, rather than ‘political purity’ votes

Hey @robertshrimsley here’s a Jew who has actually read the report which states that while anti-Jewish attitudes (abhorrent as they are) ‘are less prevalent & have remained stable’ anti-Israel sentiments ‘are more prevalent & have been increasing.’
The methodological weaknesses of some aspects of the report are also indisputable, as anyone who has done any meaningful research would attest. But we won’t let this reality mitigate your & the establishment’s hysteria & your shameful attacks on @owenjonesjourno & others.
We live in a world of lies constructed by our mendacious politicians, corporate leaders & facilitated by the woeful mainstream media, which has long abandoned its crucial role in holding power to account.

Ukrainian MP confirms that 2023 peace plan, which was reported by @FT & accepted by Putin but rejected by Zelensky & Biden administration, envisioned:
"- Russia withdraws its troops from most of the four oblasts it had just declared “annexed.”
- The new line of demarcation runs roughly along the line as of February 24, 2022: Crimea and the part of Donbas that Russia controlled before the full-scale invasion.
- Ukraine recognizes Russian control over Crimea. - Ukraine grants Russia an unobstructed land corridor to Crimea.
- The ceasefire regime is guaranteed by NATO countries that provide protection for Ukraine.
- Russia begins negotiations with the US on its own security guarantees.
-Moreover, Russia was ready to give up the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant as well.
-And the 300 billion in frozen assets was to go toward rebuilding all of Ukraine, that is, together with the occupied territories.
-As for Crimea: we were not required to recognize it as Russian, only to recognize Russia’s control over it. In other words, we acknowledge that right now it is under Russian control (which is how it is). We were also required to adopt a law banning the return of Crimea by military means.
-The land corridor to Crimea, a highway and a railway, was to be built at Russia’s expense. The hardest question was how to guard it. That is why the Russians were ready to give up Melitopol, but not Tokmak: they feared we would cut the corridor with artillery.
-Zelensky rejected this proposal at the time."

Prediction time- and a bookmark for those who fancy it.
There will be attempts to fudge the PA protocols and dilute by the pro “PA are just differently trained doctors” lobby.
Absolute lock on that Leng will be under heavy pressure to be part of that
Organisations such as Royal Colleges will try to manage it internally and “find a middle ground”
(Colleges will mostly do as asked- unless the uproar is too much to handle)
They will eventually come in the public domain
There will be uproar and much debate as Fellows and Members see them.
The NHS Long Term Workforce Plan will try- again - to shoehorn PAs in.
The basic strategy?
“Let’s find a middle ground”- based on a belief that people are tired of this and will accept.
And a hope that enough has been given to the BMA - pay structures, IMG sacrifice etc for them to sign up
As ever?
The key sits with the supervisors.
Will YOU as a Doctor- agree to taking lesser trained people on and put your liability on the line.
And will you have the time once METR lands.
Policy is one thing - involves much of politics
Implementation?
Needs wide support.
Ask those who tried to force the whole PA project through first time around.

Lula won against all odds with a flood of last minute votes. META's election interference proves that it can have the reverse effect, if the people are united in resisting it.
Congratulations to all Brazilians, and anti-zionists around the world.

META got caught red handed interfering in elections in Brazil, and it affects people a lot more than they realize. The same tools used to cover up the genocide in Gaza are being deployed to control election outcomes.
If you think they are not doing this at home you are not paying attention.
We have mapped out 21 zionist organizations in Brazil on whofundedgenocide.com/map - and will be publishing the rest of the network this week.

Ukrainian oligarch and business partner of Rinat Akhmetov, Vadym Novinsky, has stated that in 2022, Zelensky personally agreed to the terms of a peace treaty with Russia—only to subsequently reject them.
Novinsky recounted how he helped organize negotiations in February–March 2022 and how Zelensky, speaking over the phone, personally approved each point: the removal of the NATO-accession clause from the constitution, the adoption of neutrality, a 30-year "special status" for Crimea (without recognizing it as Russian territory), and a "special status" for the Donbass region within a confederal framework.
Note: This summer, Boris Johnson rejected as "complete nonsense" the idea that he had sabotaged peace negociations in 2022:
"There's no European or Western leader who could conceivably have stopped the Ukrainians from fighting for their country. All I was saying to them […] the time was: […] 'If you want to fight on, then we're going to be with you."
