An algorithm deciding who gets what. What could go wrong.
Funny most frame riots in France as anti-liberal. Demonstrations are mostly against “Parcoursup” the algorithm deciding where each French high-school graduate goes for college, which is socialism and state intervention against market forces at its best.

Which one slips first? All of them.
Tesla just put new dates on everything! Here's what to watch: → Oct 30: Cybercab answers due to NHTSA → Nov: Cybercab rides in Dallas → End of 2026: 24/7 Robotaxi, highways, first Cybercabs to customers → Q1: EU-wide FSD hoped for → ~Q2: first customer cars join the Robotaxi fleet → May–June: first Terafab test chip → ~End of 2027: Optimus to outside companies Which one hits first? 👇 $TSLA

Exactly. Once you've seen it, you can't unsee it. I felt the same after my first week with agents. Anyone still denying the disruption just hasn't used them properly yet.
Using AI agents for the first time is a genuine red-pill moment. It’s a moment where you’re filled with excitement about the potential you have at your fingertips, but at the same time, you realise your role in that potential is diminishing. I suspect many of those who still believe AI won’t fundamentally disrupt the labour market simply haven’t experienced what happens when you get agents working autonomously on your behalf. And also likely overestimate what the average knowledge-based role entails. There’s something quite profound about watching work you once had to do yourself being carried out by AI, across multiple applications, with remarkably little intervention, and at a speed you could never come close to competing with. Once you’ve experienced it, it’s very difficult to look at the future of work in the same way again.

10M+ graduates a year and policies wiping out whole job sectors at once. That math doesn't end well.
This lecture on populism from Di Dongsheng in 2022 feels particularly timely given what's happening in France right now

Weak GDP, job losses, tariffs. And they want higher rates. Brilliant.
Bank Of Canada RAISING October 28th? Sure Looks Like It Canada's Economy is pretty weak: Job Losses, low GDP, Trade War, Tariffs..... Why the Fuck RAISE INTEREST RATES? 2 Reasons - The BoC doesn't care about Canadians at all - Inflation may take off Welcome to higher rates

That's an excellent question. I don't know the answer, but I do know that we are still very far from that point. Until then, moreeeeee videos!

Take is up with reality. It folds either way.

Take is up with the OIS market 😅

I'd rather hand my card to a waiter. At least they don't keep a permanent copy of it.

My Grok Bot also has access to my Teslas through a virtual key that Grok Bot set up. I also had Grok Bot make a dashboard page to add to the other info displayed on rotation in my office. Look:

Same. I've got one bot that goes through every charge on my cards and flags the junk, and another that checks out with a one time card number so my real card never touches the site. The waiter comparison is fair.

50 million parts a year. Try that in Canada.
SendCutSend went from a hobby to making 50 million metal parts per year. It just raised another $140 million to keep expanding. I spent a couple of days with its founder @jimbelosic at the Reno headquarters and factories and his childhood home. Big ole story on what I discovered right here - corememory.com/p/sendcutsend…

SLS vs Starship side by side. One of them gets cancelled first.
The really interesting and visually exciting part of the Artemis III plan is that within view will be Starship and the SLS with Orion side by side on Pad-39A and Pad-39B and nearby, New Glenn at LC-36A. Three of these largest, most powerful rockets ever! This and the multi-day sequence of launches will be a sight to see … if all goes to plan sometime in mid-2027!

Good quote. The image is just numbers though.
“The purpose of computing is insight, not numbers.” - Richard Hamming, Numerical Methods for Scientists and Engineers, 1962. Image: A two-dimensional visualisation of the Hamming distance. The color of each pixel indicates the Hamming distance between the binary representations of its x and y coordinates, modulo 16, in the 16-color system. tinyurl.com/4ync9ktd

Today, I'm launching llmdojo.dev: - The hands-on way to learn AI engineering: LLMs, RAG, agents, evals and inference. - 50+ interactive labs. Tweak tokenizers, attention, embeddings and KV caches live. - Train a neural network in your browser and watch it learn. - Build agentic workflows with tool calls, memory, guardrails and bounded autonomy. - Ship RAG that works: chunking, hybrid search, reranking, and LLM-as-a-judge evals. - Production AI: model routing, fallbacks, quantization, caching and cost per request. - 490+ interview questions, reported from OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, Meta, Amazon, Microsoft, Mistral and 50+ more. - Every answer is cited from papers and books, or measured on real models.

Well done. Hardware is the easy part though.
Module 9 done. Standing tall again at LC-36! The Vehicle Access Tower is fully assembled, with every module repaired and back in place. This was a monumental effort. Proud of Team Blue.

Final segment of the Vehicle Access Tower is up at LC-36! 🚀🗼 Timelapse of this morning’s lift and placement of the combined top module + 100-ft lightning arrestor mast. It only took 114 days since the first module destack July 2. 🤯 Still to go: umbilicals, access platforms.

Flawless until it isn't. One bad handoff and you own the consequences. Give it a winter.
Tesla Full Self-Driving v14.3.13 REVIEW 300-mile drive, leg 1: 🚗 considerate, and relatively flawless highway navigation: the car only performed a pass on the right hand side when a vehicle going well below the speed limit was blocking up the fast or passing lane. 🚗 with 1 mile until our exit, the car decided that traffic was too thick to risk missing our offramp. Therefore it decided to get into the right lane and prepare itself for its exit off the highway, and onto the turnpike in a comfortable distance from the offramp I’ve had issues with this in the past and this is a one off example, but I was very pleased with this. 🚗 Changing speed profiles is much more responsive: when I needed to speed up a little bit and get by some traffic on the highway, and I felt like the car was kind of lingering, I would throw it into hurry mode, and there was an immediate increase in speed. Inversely, when I switched to standard mode from hurry, the reduction and speed was immediate, but not drastic or dangerous. It was really nice to have a quick adjustment of speed in order to get out of certain situations like driving next to a tractor trailer.
