ICE says Deschutes County ignored its detainer and let this man go in April. A mother then had to confront the man charged in her son's death, which is exactly the kind of gap that should never exist.
NEW: ICE’s Victims of Immigrant Crime Engagement (VOICE) office has released emotional video showing Angel Mom Elizabeth Carter confronting the Indian illegal alien semi truck driver who is charged with killing her son and his newlywed wife in a crash in Oregon last November.
The exchange happened as ICE was transferring RAJINDER KUMAR to state custody in Oregon earlier this month to face charges of two counts of first degree manslaughter and three counts of recklessly endangering another person as a result of the crash. ICE gave Carter a chance to speak to KUMAR in an ICE vehicle before the transfer.
ICE says they had arrested KUMAR after law enforcement in Deschutes County, OR ignored their detainer and released him from custody in April.
Kumar had been caught and released at the AZ border by the Biden admin in November 2022 and was given a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) by the state of California.
In the video - an emotional Carter says:
“Hello Mr. Kumar. My name is Elizabeth Carter. I’m William Micah Carter’s mother. And I wanted you to know that I pray for you and your family, I know you didn’t get up that morning planning to kill two newlyweds. And I know your family is going through something important too.”
Kumar largely avoids eye contact and doesn’t say anything.
158 people on one boat, and everyone already knows the route onward runs through Spain to France, Belgium and the UK. Europe keeps acting like this is a surprise.
States can pass whatever laws they want, but federal immigration arrests don't need a local judge's permission. The Supremacy Clause settles it.
France is putting 70,000 officers on the streets just to get through one Saturday of protests, and the Louvre is shut as a precaution. Paris clearly knows how bad this could get.
France are set to deploy 70,000 law enforcement officers ahead of planned protests across France today. Paris museums, including the Louvre, have been closed as a precaution.

The 5th Circuit just upheld detention without bond, even for people who have been here for decades. Good to see a court back the law as it is written.
Huge decision from the 5th Circuit. Illegal aliens arrested by ICE can, in fact, be detained without bond, even if they’ve lived in the U.S. for decades, overturning three lower Fed judges.
From concurrence:
“A nation ceases to be a nation if it can't protect its borders."
This was an 11-6 ruling with the entirely of the 5th Circuit (en banc).
Taxpayers fund these programs for people who actually need them. If illegal aliens are gaming SNAP, going after the fraud is the least they should be doing.
THE DAYS OF AMERICANS BEING RIPPED OFF ARE OVER.
As part of the @WHFraudTF, ICE is cracking down on SNAP fraud committed by illegal aliens who have exploited taxpayer-funded programs and stolen from the American people.
Labour has reportedly waived over 76,000 visa fees, roughly £96 million the Home Office just didn't collect. Hard to sell a migration crackdown while handing out freebies.
🚨 NEWS: More than 76,000 immigration visa fees worth an estimated £96.2 million have reportedly been waived since Labour came to power.
Published analysis indicates 70,916 fee waivers were granted during Labour's first 18 months, compared with 45,101 during the final 18 months of Conservative government, an increase of 57%.
Applicants can qualify if they cannot afford essential living costs or if payment would harm a child's wellbeing. More than 50,000 applications are reportedly awaiting decisions.
The PM can hail his record all he likes, but thousands more are waiting across the Channel to set off. Voters will judge it by the boats, not the speeches.

One of them had already been deported once and simply walked back in, while El Salvador wanted him for homicide and the rape of a minor. If ICE can pull 131 gang members off the streets in a single week, imagine how many were waved through before.
131 gang members in ONE week.
From October 4 to October 10, ICE arrested 131 gang members, including 22 tied to MS-13 and 13 tied to Tren de Aragua.
One of them is a suspected Tren de Aragua hitman picked up in Tallahassee. Border Patrol caught him crossing into Texas in October 2023, and the Biden administration released him into the country anyway.
Another MS-13 member arrested in Las Vegas is wanted back in El Salvador for aggravated homicide and rape of a minor. He had already been deported once and came right back.
Since President Trump returned to office, ICE has made 12,018 gang-related arrests. Think about how many of them were walking free in American neighborhoods under Biden.
Remember who opened the door and who is slamming it shut when you vote.
Illegal e-bikes ripping along pavements are the most obvious sign nobody enforces anything anymore. Seize the bikes, check who's riding them, and remove anyone with no right to be here.
Restore Britain's new policy will crack down on dangerous e-biker riders terrorising pedestrians in our towns and cities.
Deport millions, clamp down on rife anti-social behaviour and get these dangerous vehicles off our pavements.
That's the plan.

More than two dozen green card holders charged with lying about citizenship to vote, and prosecutors say some actually cast ballots. California spent years calling this a myth, so it should be first in line to let its voter rolls be checked.
🚨 BUSTED: Federal agents have charged MORE THAN TWO DOZEN people in a California sweep targeting noncitizen voting.
"Operation Protect the Vote" hit all FOUR U.S. attorney districts in the state.
Prosecutors say some of them didn't just register illegally. They actually CAST BALLOTS.
Now DOJ is suing California to set aside mail ballots from more than 20,000 people it flagged as likely noncitizens.
According to the DOJ complaint, Los Angeles County turned away a federal agent's encrypted thumb drive with the list.
California had every chance to help clean this up and chose not to.
Keep the arrests coming.
Five arrests in under a month near one asylum centre, and now Wakefield residents are too scared to go out. Reassurances mean nothing when people feel like prisoners on their own street.
‘Despite the reassurances, there’s still fear.’
GB News’ @annarileynews reports from Wakefield, where residents living near an asylum centre are too scared to go out after five arrests in less than a month for alleged rape and child sexual assaults.
Civil servants helping to write and fact check BBC stories on small boats was never going to sit right with licence payers. Pausing the scheme is a start, but people deserve to know which stories they worked on.
NYPD officers say they arrest these moped robbers, a judge lets them walk, and sanctuary rules keep ICE from ever hearing about the ones here illegally. So they go right back to ripping chains off people's necks, and the city keeps choosing more victims over one phone call to ICE.

A man who guarded Isis executions crossed the Channel on a small boat and still can't be deported on human rights grounds. If Britain can't remove someone like him, it can't remove anyone.
🚨This is utterly outrageous. Look at who they are letting into Britain. An Islamist ISIS terrorist who belonged to a gang that BEHEADED people like Ken Bigley is walking FREE on Britain's streets.
Mohammed Yaseen was part of a gang that oversaw brutal public executions.
He entered Britain illegally on a small boat.
He was put in a taxpayer-funded hotel in Basingstoke.
He was sent to prison for two-years but was just released after serving just six months.
He was just moved to a hostel in Windsor, also paid for by British taxpayers, and was seen shopping near Windsor Castle by the Mail on Sunday.
What is happening to our country.
Roughly a third of asylum claimants in Britain's last EU years had already claimed somewhere else in Europe, yet the UK sent back only a few hundred a year. Anyone selling Dublin as the fix for the Channel needs to look at these numbers.
Let’s put an end to this irrelevant nonsense from you.
In the UK’s four last years as an EU member (2017–2020) it received roughly 26,500–35,700 main asylum applications per year (higher if counting dependants).
Eurodac foreign hits (indicating a prior asylum application in another Dublin country) numbered roughly 7,000–13,000 a year in 2017–2019, and higher in 2020. So a substantial minority — commonly in the region of 25–40% of applications in those years — had a prior registered claim elsewhere.
Of that big minority who had previously applied elsewhere the VAST majority were NOT returned under the Dublin rules.
Actual transfers out of the UK were only a few hundred people per year on average (for example, around 200 in 2018).
In several of the later years the UK was a NET IMPORTER under Dublin, receiving more transfers in than it sent out.
In other words, though the system identified many of those people who had already claimed elsewhere, only a very small fraction of them were ever transferred back.
Most of them either stayed in the UK for processing or simply remained without a successful transfer back.
In other words, Dublin had almost zero impact on asylum seeking in the UK when we were in the EU.
Now, please go away and don’t bother me again with irrelevant bollocks.
Border Patrol made 98,708 southwest border apprehensions in all of fiscal 2026, per preliminary DHS numbers, the lowest in the agency's history and the first full year with zero releases. Biden's worst single month was about 250,000, so this entire year came in well under half of one bad month back then.
98,708. THAT'S THE WHOLE YEAR.
Fiscal 2026 is officially in the books, and Border Patrol caught just 98,708 people at the southern border.
DHS says that's the lowest number in American history.
Under Biden it ran more than 1.8 million a year, and this entire year came in about 60% below his single worst month.
Border Patrol didn't release a single person all year. September made it 17 straight months of zero releases.
Joe Biden spent four years telling us he couldn't fix the border until Congress passed a new law.
Trump didn't get a new law. He enforced the ones already on the books, and Secretary Mullin's people did the job.
Biden lied to your face, and these numbers prove it.
A federal judge just threw out the DOJ lawsuit against New York City's sanctuary laws, so the city keeps limiting its cooperation with ICE for now. This one is headed for an appeal or for Congress, because a country where every city picks which federal laws to honor doesn't really have a border policy.
A federal judge dismissed the Trump administration's lawsuit against New York City's sanctuary policies, ruling the DOJ's arguments were a "backdoor around the Tenth Amendment."
U.S. District Judge Ramón E. Reyes Jr., a Biden appointee, found the federal government lacked standing to challenge NYC's restrictions on honoring ICE detainers and rejected every preemption claim the Justice Department raised — express, conflict, and field. The ruling is the latest in a string of losses for the Trump DOJ, which has filed more than two dozen lawsuits against sanctuary jurisdictions nationwide, only to see cases tossed in Boston, Los Angeles, Minnesota, and now New York.
A former Trump DOJ official pushed back, arguing the judge misread the Tenth Amendment's anti-commandeering doctrine. "What these statutes are doing is basically preventing states from actively obstructing federal immigration enforcement," said Abhishek Kambli, a former deputy associate attorney general. NYC Mayor Zohran Mamdani celebrated the decision, saying the city will "stand by our immigrant neighbors."

Handing out 55,000 green cards a year by random draw made little sense even before it was paused over security concerns. Congress created this lottery, so Congress should be the one to end it for good.
US District Judge Jinsook Ohta has ordered the Trump administration to reinstate the diversity visa lottery for 2027, issuing a preliminary injunction to allow 55,000 people from around the world to apply for permanent residence in the US.
Ohta was appointed by the Joe Biden administration.
