I made our #PVYlima Desktop capable to run #FreeBSD 15 native on macOS. With Stats and PIDs and Shared / Restricted Folder and all the fancy nice to have... I think, two or three more refinements and we gonna ship it for free... Can run Dockerhost, Can create KVM Images, Can Run Kubernetes even with Longhorn, or FREE BSD... a Distro which needs to be FREE... They need more resources. The Best ? Each VM is a declarative YAML File between 16 -64 Lines of Code. Share it over chat or git.

Building Kern, I realised most of my users are technical, and many already run their own bare metal. Paying AWS prices doesn't make sense.

Give coding agents a disposable VM—not your daily machine.
Trail of Bits’ coop runs Claude Code or Codex inside per-project VMs: Firecracker microVMs on Linux, Lima on macOS. `coop up` syncs your project; profiles add dev tools, and stopped VMs can be checkpointed and restored.
That makes risky repos, agent evals, and parallel work easier to contain. Treat the VM as the trust boundary—and read the egress model, not magic.

I do have to confess a bit here though...I was already capturing my traces from cc/oai as part of my local ai-infra project, so my @TheLimaProject vm based @kubernetesio cluster with @opentelemetry & @langfuse was already running, but I had intentionally waited for the meetup to get @cursor_ai wired up to it
