If you’ve just found me… I write about British politics. I care about democracy, delivery and holding people to account - whoever they are. Sometimes serious. Sometimes satire. Always with receipts. And occasionally I write about life, because there is more to us than politics. Less noise. More delivery.

I know it’s hot ! I was just having lunch at pizza express in Weybridge. One woman walked in with a mini skirt and she did not hide the fact she did not wear underwear either. I don’t know what to say !

🚨 WHO THE FUCK IS ROBERT JENRICK? Career criminal? No. Career controversy? He’s certainly putting the hours in. Speeding conviction ✅ Unlawful planning decision ✅ Leadership donations now attracting police attention ✅ Leaves the Tories ✅ Joins Reform ✅ Gets lined up as their Chancellor ✅ At this point Robert Jenrick doesn’t need a political CV. He needs one of those little plastic folders your solicitor gives you. 😭 And Reform looked at all this and apparently thought: “Treasury. Give him the Treasury.” You genuinely couldn't write this shit. 🇬🇧

I’ve been thinking about the triple lock on pensions. Why do we need three locks? Why not one simple guarantee: The State Pension never rises by less than inflation? Protect pensioners. Keep it simple. What am I missing?

REFORM UK: THE PARODY PARTY 🎭🇬🇧 I have finally worked out Reform UK. It isn't a political party. It's a sitcom with an absolutely enormous cast. 🎬 Nigel Farage - the star. Britain is always broken, someone else broke it, and luckily Nigel has just arrived to tell us about it. 💷 Richard Tice - millionaire man of the people. Permanently furious about elites. 🥓 Lee Anderson - chairman, philosopher, breakfast correspondent. 🔄 Zia Yusuf - resigns. Returns. Goes online. Starts another argument. See you next episode. 😡 Suella Braverman - introduced because the producers became worried the programme wasn't angry enough. 🚪 Robert Jenrick - spent years in the Conservative show before suddenly discovering he'd been in the wrong sitcom. 📺 Sarah Pochin - delivers one line and immediately creates enough material for three further episodes. ⛪ Danny Kruger - gives the programme its Sunday sermon. 🎩 Nadhim Zahawi - guest star from the previous Conservative series. Then you've got Andrew Rosindell, Andrea Jenkyns, Nadine Dorries and the rest wandering on and off set like Britain's strangest political pantomime. Every episode: Someone is outraged. Someone defects. Someone says something extraordinary. Someone explains what they actually meant. Nigel goes on television. Lee finds some bacon. 🥓 And eventually somebody looks directly into the camera and says: “We are ready to govern Britain.” 😂😂😂 My friends… Reform UK isn't a political party with occasional comedy. It's a comedy with occasional policies.

REFORM ANONYMOUS - THE 12 STEPS TO HONESTY 🍺🚫🇬🇧 12 Reform figures sit nervously in a circle. Nigel Farage: “Hi, I’m Nigel, and I’m powerless over attention. If a camera is switched off for more than six minutes, I begin to shake.” Richard Tice: “Hi, I’m Richard. I have finally accepted that people asking me difficult questions is not necessarily a conspiracy.” Lee Anderson: “Hi, I’m Lee. I am willing to make a fearless moral inventory of myself… straight after this bacon bap.” 🥓 Zia Yusuf: “Hi, I’m Zia. I admit I cannot control everything. Although I have drafted a policy to deport most of it.” Robert Jenrick: “Hi, I’m Robert. I have made a list of everyone I have politically harmed. Unfortunately, it begins with the Conservative Party and ends somewhere around myself.” Suella Braverman: “Hi, I’m Suella. I have asked a higher power to remove my anger. It refused on constitutional grounds.” Sarah Pochin: “Hi, I’m Sarah. Today I will practise restraint and think before speaking.” The room applauds wildly. Danny Kruger: “Hi, I’m Danny. I have become willing to admit that changing political parties does not technically count as spiritual growth.” Andrew Rosindell: “Hi, I’m Andrew. I have made direct amends to the Conservatives… by leaving them alone.” James Orr: “Hi, I’m James. I have conducted a searching inventory of Reform policy.” Long silence. “Could somebody lend me a second sheet of paper?” Andrea Jenkyns: “Hi, I’m Andrea. I have learned that humility means accepting I may occasionally be wrong.” She immediately withdraws the statement. Malcolm Offord: “Hi, I’m Malcolm, and today I am going to practise honesty in all my affairs.” Nigel: “Steady on, Malcolm. We’re only on Step One.” GROUP: “KEEP COMING BACK.” 🙏 Nigel: “Absolutely. Preferably with £25 for membership.”

This guy is good !
Clacton votes today in a by-election nobody wanted, costing the taxpayer hundreds of thousands so Farage could fight a bin. He called it to make the £5m investigation go away. It doesn’t. It restarts the moment he’s back in Parliament.

Meet Barbara. 👩‍⚕️ Barbara is @LeeAndersonMP_ therapist: Calm, professionally curious, armed with a notebook, an expression of permanent concern, and absolutely no idea why a grown man has arrived for therapy clutching a packet of bacon. 📝🥓 Today’s session is supposed to be about emotional attachment. BARBARA: Lee, last week you said bacon makes you feel… things. 🥓👀 LEE: I never said that. BARBARA: You called it “thick, juicy and begging for attention.” 😳 LEE: Political terminology. BARBARA: You also said you like your bacon “firm around the edges but soft in the middle.” 🔥🥓 LEE: Barbara, this is getting personal. BARBARA: That is literally why you’re here. LEE: Fine. I like bacon. BARBARA: Like bacon? LEE: Very much. BARBARA: And what happened on Tuesday? LEE: It arrived undercooked. 😔 BARBARA: And? LEE: Floppy. BARBARA: Floppy? LEE: Completely. No resistance whatsoever. BARBARA: How did that make you feel? LEE: Disappointed. I’d been thinking about it all morning. 😏 BARBARA: Lee… LEE: I wanted something hot, crisp and satisfying. Instead I got something pink and limp lying there looking at me. 🥓 BARBARA: Perhaps you could have put it back in the pan? LEE: You can’t manufacture chemistry, Barbara. BARBARA: We’re still talking about bacon? LEE: Aren’t we? 👀 BARBARA: Lee, I’m beginning to think bacon is filling an emotional void. LEE: Don’t be ridiculous. BARBARA: You brought some with you today. LEE: Emergency rasher. BARBARA: It’s in your inside pocket. LEE: I like to keep it close. ❤️🥓 BARBARA: I think that’s enough for today. LEE: Same time next week? BARBARA: Yes. And Lee? LEE: Yeah? BARBARA: Leave the bacon at home. LEE: Absolutely not. 😏🥓🇬🇧

🚨 EDUCATION HAS BECOME A PRIVATE-EQUITY PLAY IN BRITAIN. We need to talk about what is happening to education in this country, because something has gone badly wrong. A child with complex SEND needs can cost a council around £63,000 a year in an independent special school, more than twice the cost of many state special-school places. And more than 30% of independent special schools are now backed by private equity. Think about that. We failed to build enough public capacity, councils became desperate for places, private providers moved into the gap, and investors discovered something extremely attractive: predictable demand ultimately funded by taxpayers. The same pattern is appearing in childcare, where large nursery groups are being consolidated, and now investors are reportedly looking at financially distressed universities. And universities have their own uncomfortable question to answer. For years, some have expanded courses with weak employment prospects and questionable economic value, while still charging students enormous sums and selling them the promise that a degree is automatically a route to a better future. It isn't. When an institution knows that a course delivers poor outcomes but continues aggressively recruiting students because the tuition income matters, education starts looking less like a public good and more like a sales operation. This isn't simply about private companies being bad. It is about what happens when education becomes an asset, a revenue stream and a financial product. Children are not revenue streams. Students are not walking tuition fees. Schools and universities should not exist primarily to feed balance sheets. We didn't privatise British education overnight. We did something quieter. We starved parts of the public system, monetised the gaps, and slowly turned learning itself into a market. The taxpayer carries the obligation. The student carries the debt. The investor owns the asset.

‼️X is a political weapon. Not because everyone suddenly believes the same thing - but because bots, coordinated accounts and algorithms can make a minority look like a movement. Manufacture the outrage. Fake the momentum. Trigger the algorithm. Then let real people spread it. That is how fringe ideas start to look like public opinion. We should stop asking, “What is everyone saying on X?” And start asking: HOW MANY OF THEM ARE EVEN REAL? My latest piece: The Crowd May Not Be Real (link in my Bio) #Politics #X #Bots #Democracy #Disinformation

REFORM UK - THE COMPLETELY NORMAL ORG CHART™ 👑 Nigel Farage - Supreme Leader, Founder, Face, Voice, Brand & Emergency Exit 💷 Richard Tice - Deputy Leader, Chief Wallet Inspector & Permanent Angry Man on Television 🥓 Lee Anderson - Chairman, Minister for Bacon, Outrage & Facebook Comments 🚨 Zia Yusuf - Home Affairs, Immigration, Deportation Ideas & Resignations Lasting 48 Hours 🧠 James Orr - Policy Department: where the clever words get added 🕴️ George Cottrell - officially nothing to see here, apparently 💰 Christopher Harborne - definitely just a very generous chap 📋 Harvey Griffiths & Peter Durnell — the names you discover when you actually read the paperwork And somewhere underneath all of them: 🇬🇧 “The People.” Reform says it is taking Britain back from the establishment. I’m increasingly interested in who exactly is taking it back — and for whom.
