Kudos to @nucleusgenomics for sponsoring this IRB study testing whether screening embryos based on polygenic risk scores will decrease implantation rates compared to screening only on embryo morphology! xitter.cf/TreffDNA/status/211011…
Many IVF programs treat the ASRM Opinion as a guideline for polygenic embryo selection. I’m pleased to announce the launch of PRISM (Polygenic Risk-Informed Selection versus Morphology), one of the largest clinical studies of polygenic embryo analysis to date. More in thread.

I welcome discussion with others working in reproductive medicine, genetics, and embryology, including those with different perspectives on the clinical application of polygenic risk information.

PRISM is a non-inferiority clinical trial evaluating whether incorporating polygenic risk estimates into embryo selection affects implantation rates vs. conventional morphology-based selection. Published clinical outcome data on this remain limited.

Thank you @ENBrown for the insightful piece. Like when I talked with the Times, we are now one step closer to giving more people a path to parenthood, and that definitely is something to celebrate.
