New NYE tradition with @kirstin_chen!
Afternoon drinks, home by sunset.
We posted a BIG update to our study on Ewing sarcoma and other FET fusion-driven cancers. FET fusion oncoproteins are aberrantly recruited to DNA breaks and cause ATM defects, which can be targeted with the ATR inhibitor elimusertib. Updates include:

We would love to hear feedback, opportunities for new directions and collaborations. This is the work of many at @UCSF and @MSKCancerCenter, but led by 2 super star postdocs @Shruti_menon09 and @DmGracilla33811.
Interested in pediatric cancer and DNA repair? We are recruiting PhD students and postdocs, so please reach out and come join us in NYC. #MSKKids

ALT #BestPartOfScience: Using our imagination to further expand the explanation of biological and other scientific phenomena and unveil the secrets of nature. #CareerMotivation: To all hard-working postdocs out there, we need to keep going. Who knows, one of us may be on the verge of making another groundbreaking cancer treatment. Despite the challenges, we need to forge ahead. #BecomingAScientist: I wanted to blaze a new trail in which I can contribute to ensuring the health of the world. Back in grade school, I had been fascinated with biological things like how our heart beats, how our eyes can see, how a bird can fly, and even how a fish can swim. That propelled me to pursue a scientific career. Daniel Gracilla, PhD Tulpule Lab
