ALT #BestPartOfScience: Using our imagination to further expand the explanation of biological and other scientific phenomena and unveil the secrets of nature. #CareerMotivation: To all hard-working postdocs out there, we need to keep going. Who knows, one of us may be on the verge of making another groundbreaking cancer treatment. Despite the challenges, we need to forge ahead. #BecomingAScientist: I wanted to blaze a new trail in which I can contribute to ensuring the health of the world. Back in grade school, I had been fascinated with biological things like how our heart beats, how our eyes can see, how a bird can fly, and even how a fish can swim. That propelled me to pursue a scientific career. Daniel Gracilla, PhD Tulpule Lab

Does anyone besides me feel that the messaging over the last month in the US has basically served to terrify the vaccinated and make unvaccinated eligible adults doubt the effectiveness of the vaccines?

I'm disturbed by this move by Biden administration as 1) seems to belie a nuanced view of immune system (antibodies are just one part of the response; memory B cells make more); 2) fails our moral test to be a global health leader in pandemic #vaxequity

Replying to @MonicaGandhi9
As you can see from CDC breakthrough website, there have been 5725 severe cases (hospitalizations) out of 166 million Americans vaccinated. Would probably give boosters to demographics of severe breakthroughs (e.g. immunocompromised, elderly with multiple med conditions)
