There are ongoing conversations at a national level within @baptistuniongb regarding the ministerial rules of accreditation.
As we discern a way forward as a tradition, many Baptists are sharing why they believe it's Godly to affirm LGBT+ people.
These are being shared over on Facebook, on the Affirming Baptists Together Page.
And here is the link to the latest story, this time from Glen Marshall, Baptist Minister and Co-Principal at @NBLC1.

Our Co-Director @AndyFitchet and Chair of Trustees @LukaDowding shared at @baptistuniongb Council yesterday, explaining how the current ministerial guidelines restrict and impact them because of their sexuality.
#BaptistsTogether
@1Body1Faith trustee Pam Davies also shared as to why she has resigned her accreditation as an act of integrity.
As did a Baptist minister, who shared how he has lived his life and ministry in accordance with the guidelines.
Pray as Council continues today!

Absolutely delighted to take on this role as a Co-Director of Affirm.
LGBTQ+ Inclusion in church can feel like an uphill battle but it’s an important one to have.
I am excited to play my part in making the church safer for this, and the next, generation of LGBTQ+ Christians.
We have an exciting team update to share with you!
@AndyFitchet will now be working alongside @_dwyneth as Co-Directors, and @LukaDowding will be supporting them and the Board as Chair of Trustees.

Some extraordinary words from @Pontifex regarding same-sex couples and their families!
"Homosexual people have a right to be in a family. They are children of God and have a right to a family. Nobody should be thrown out or be made miserable over it" openlynews.com/i/?id=1eec0a2…
