Absolutely devastating. Christians are yet again being targeted and attacked, this time in Jordan where gunmen opened fire during a funeral at a Greek Orthodox church, killing at least 7 and injuring many more.
My sincere condolences to my brothers and sisters in Christ and the community in Karak affected by this barbaric act of terror.

In Parliament, I just demanded an independent inquiry, led by independent engineers, into the 'near-blackout' on June 23rd - those who are gambling with our country's electricity supply must be held accountable.

The Joseph Rowntree Foundation predicts that average annual household incomes, after housing costs and adjusted for inflation, will be £440-£770 lower by 2030 than when Labour took office - potentially the biggest decline in living standards over a parliamentary term since records began in 1961.
Meanwhile, the IMF forecasts that government revenue as a percentage of GDP will rise faster in Britain than in any other major advanced economy, reaching 41.9% by 2031.
Almost two-thirds of Institute of Directors members say that they are pessimistic about the economy, while 73% expect investment to remain unchanged or fall over the next 12 months.
ScottishPower has warned that unpaid energy bills could reach £7 billion next year, while EDF forecasts that annual bills for a typical household could rise from £1,723 today to £2,204 next April.
People who moved homes in July spent 14.4% of their income on mortgage interest, the highest level since 2008 and almost double what they paid four years ago.
A combination of neoliberal economics and neoconservative foreign policy is putting the British economy under enormous strain, and that is before we encounter another major economic shock.

France will burn into the late morning hours. To what end? So they can harbour millions who hate everything of what is means to be French?
Was it worth it?
Will it be worth it in Britain, when similar violence inevitably erupts?
I think not.
We watch as migrants ransack Paris whilst flying the flag of various African countries.
Some may have arrived illegally, for most their presence is entirely ‘legal’. Plenty were probably born in France, and are technically ‘French’.
For the rioters, evidently, their allegiance is not to France, or to the French people.
Where does their loyalty truly lie?
Their clan.
The civilised world’s response must reflect that.
Those convicted for arson, organised violence, and attacks on innocent people must face substantial prison sentences - foreign nationals involved must be removed. Citizenships stripped from dual nationals, obviously.
Mass deportations.
Act before they do.
And in exceptional cases, I would go further.
A Restore Britain Government will develop bilateral agreements and mechanisms with third countries to accept second-generation migrant offenders convicted of domestic terrorism and other such serious crimes, who, for now, hold only British citizenship.
There will be no statelessness. It will be conducted fairly, and it will cost, but it will be done, and a message will be sent.
The French should do the same.
If you burn down a city, terrorise law-abiding citizens and torch the society around you - there will be consequences worthy of the crime.
And if your allegiance lies elsewhere, and you demonstrate that through terrorism or extreme violence, a Restore Britain Government will send you to the country you claim allegiance to - if that's where your loyalty lies, we will aim to make that a reality.
Britain is just a few short years behind France.

After the support I have seen for Restore Britain this week, I have never been more convinced that we are going to take our country back.
