Happy Feast of St. Mary of Magdala.
Unlike other women in the Bible, Mary of Magdala is not identified in relation to another person; she is not anyone’s mother, wife, or sister. Instead, she is called Mary of Magdala, a title that implies some prominence in the city, writes @HeidiSchlumpf. uscatholic.org/articles/2016…

My reflection on Francis' legacy of Muslim-Christian dialogue, and how it inspired and affirmed my own vocation.
Francis embarked on his own adventure of dialogue during his 12 years as pope, traveling to many Muslim-majority countries, meeting with countless leaders and ordinary people, visiting mosques, and issuing major declarations alongside his Muslim friends. uscatholic.org/articles/2025…

A must-read. @clemmer_don assembled an absolute supergroup on this timely issue. Hard to pick a favorite insight, so I'll highlight Ramon Luzarraga's point that gentle masculine power is already foregrounded in Christian tradition.
Toxic masculinity shows up in church spaces, especially online spaces. It manifests in forms that range from domineering priests who embrace conspiracy theories to laypeople who are hostile to women and non-white people and cultures. uscatholic.org/articles/2025…
