In NYC-DSA's democracy, electeds and members are equals. I'm proud to organize with Groundwork and run on their slate for convention this year.
GW is committed to growing DSA into an org as multiracial and powerful as the World's Borough. Vote Groundwork by midnight tonight!

By the way, for all the people who say its okay to concede on trans women in sports because it "only" impacts a few hundred people:
Over 150,000 trans people depend on Medicaid. For medically necessary treatment, not a hobby. Is that a high enough number for you to care yet?

Plenty of cities have upzoned and gotten rid of silly housing regulations that depress supply. It's not that tall of a task lol

Biden literally ran on federal ban on exclusionary zoning but just didn't have the votes at the time. Your political imagination is tiny, china exists. You can build cities up when you actually put forward policy to do so

Half of dsa members identify as Marxists. The point is persuasion because most people don't think about those things period, only the 5th order effects of the root causes of social ills

Singles and couples going from 3 to 2(and only some) is entirely fine when the new units are brand new and be more liveable
Replying to @katewillett
Those are primarily 3 bedrooms being reduced to 2 bedrooms
2056 units currently with 4500 residents. About 2 people per unit and a high % of residents are single elderly people
When these are the current conditions + the 3500 new units. Sounds like a good deal to me!
