Why is the entire Financial Industry terrified of this man?
Loans without Banks
Trades without Exchanges
Contracts without Lawyers
He invented and patented a trustless solution for Peer to Peer Capital Markets.

They defamed him.
They censored him.

I wrote code. Now I face 45 years in prison because others misused it.
Code that no one controls. Code that no one can change or shut down.
Yet somehow, I’m being held responsible for what others chose to do with it.
I feel like the whole BoA money laundering thing should be talked about, but what's left to say?
I spent a year in prison for not filling out a form around selling Bitcoin and got in trouble because someone two degrees separate from me allegedly used it to launder funds. The amount in question was around $30k.
BoA launders $5b and has to give one fifth of it back to the government. No jail for anyone.
This is America.

CONGRATULATIONS!
This is the last VERI SmartMetal Silver Round of the 6566 Limited Edition First Strike.
Round #1 sold for $14,000
This last round may be even more special as #6566 represents the last 4 digits in Veritaseum’s first US patent of the foundational patent family.
More info below.
@ReggieMiddleton @Veritaseuminc @QuantumMetals
Veritaseum VERI SmartMetal 1 oz Silver Round with Embedded NFT Technology
1 of 6566 Limited Edition First Strike
Evolving from the earliest concepts created by the original DAO, morphing into the design of Reggie's famous business card, the physical Veritaseum token.
These Silver Rounds were originally presented for pre-order and were simply a Limited Edition First Strike 1 oz .999 Fine Silver Round but taking advantage of unforseen delays, Reggie was consulted by VERI community members to add more value, and they were redesigned to include a unique scannable public QR code that marks each silver round with it's own unique number of the 6566 produced. (6566 is the last four numbers of Patent US11196566)
To make these rounds even more unique, a second QR code was added on the reverse side, covered by a tamperproof seal taking owners to an NFT activation app to claim their NFT using their private key, and with work underway, to take full advantage of this patented tech, to gift SmartMetal owners their VERI own personalized economic AI Agent.
NOTE: The AI Economic Agent is a work in progress with no promise or guarantees
The VERI SmartMetal Fundraising campaign is a 100% community driven effort to raise funds to battle the unjust lawfare against @ReggieMiddleton the rightful Founder of DeFi/DiFi

🚨ATTENTION COLLECTORS AND RESELLERS🚨
By Activating the NFT, you are separating the NFT from the Silver Round. Meaning you are claiming the NFT and it can no longer be reactivated by the QR code on the Silver Round.

SIX DEGREES OF VERI:
RWA TOKENIZATION
Tokenizing what you own is one thing.
Giving you more control over it is another.
Before we celebrate a tokenized future, let’s follow the patent trail, not just the headlines.
STARTING POINT: VERITASEUM’S ’566 PATENT FAMILY
The patent lists Reggie Middleton and Matthew Bogosian as inventors and claims priority to May 9, 2014.
It describes methods for parties with little or no trust in one another to enter into and enforce conditional value transfer agreements, with reduced reliance on traditional intermediaries.
The application publication US20170187535A1 became US11196566B2.
Now follow the references.
1ST DEGREE - nChain US11373152B2
Universal tokenization system for blockchain-based cryptocurrencies.
This patent’s references include US20170187535A1, the ’566 application publication. nChain’s own application publication is US20190303887A1.
2ND DEGREE - POLYMATH US11361289B1
Distributed cryptographic tokens with downstream administrative control.
Its references include nChain’s US20190303887A1.
The patent describes administrative control over customized tokens operating on a distributed cryptocurrency network.
3RD DEGREE - DTCC DIGITAL US12361488B2
Method, apparatus, and computer readable medium for compliance aware tokenization and control of asset value.
Its references include Polymath’s US11361289B1.
Veritaseum -> nChain -> Polymath -> DTCC.
Three citation links. The application publication and corresponding granted patent count as one node, not an extra degree.
Here’s why this matters beyond patent numbers.
DTCC’s tokenization service describes potential benefits such as greater asset mobility and interoperability.
It also explicitly includes pause and clawback controls, which DTCC identifies as supporting compliance and operational oversight.
That distinction deserves our attention.
Moving an asset onto a blockchain does not, by itself, tell us who holds the power.
The ability to trade more efficiently and the ability to transact more independently are different goals.
My takeaway: we should judge tokenization by the rights and practical control it gives the holder, not simply by the technology underneath it.
Who can authorize a transfer?
Who can stop one?
Who can change the rules?
And as we examine that future, earlier inventors and their documented work deserve a place in the conversation.
This trail does not establish that these companies copied or implemented Veritaseum’s patented claims, or that royalties are owed.
It establishes a specific, inspectable chain of patent references.
Don’t just ask who is tokenizing the world.
Ask who will control it, and follow the receipts.
A citation trail is not proof of infringement.
The element of truth, verified.
SIX DEGREES OF VERI:
KYC / KNOW YOUR CUSTOMER
KYC doesn’t have to mean surrendering control of your identity.
Receipts:
Veritaseum's ’566 family is cited by Civic.
Civic is cited by tZERO.
tZERO is cited by JPMorgan.
That is a real citation trail.
What does that suggest?
Maybe the future of Know Your Customer should not be a world where banks, exchanges, or institutions own the keys to your personal data.
Maybe the better model is this:
- You hold your identity.
- You control access.
- You decide who can verify what.
- You revoke access when you want.
They verify what they need, without owning your life.
No more honeypots for hackers to attack.
That is the bigger idea here.
Not just compliance.
Not just KYC.
But a different architecture for trust, privacy, and control.
If the foundational tech points toward peer-to-peer value transfer and low-trust / zero-trust systems, then it also raises a serious question:
Why should JPMorgan control your KYC data?
Why should anyone else?
Maybe they shouldn’t.
Maybe there is a better way to store, attest, and share personal data, where the individual stays in control.
That’s what makes this SIX DEGREES OF VERI so interesting.
A citation trail is not proof of infringement.
But it can show where the ideas went.
The element of truth, verified.

On August 6, 2025, a Manhattan jury found me guilty of one count: conspiracy to operate an unlicensed money transmitting business under 18 U.S.C. § 1960. They hung on money laundering and sanctions. I have not been sentenced. A motion for acquittal is still pending. Retrial of the hung counts is set for April 26, 2027.
Fifteen days later, on August 21, Acting Assistant Attorney General Matthew Galeotti, head of the Justice Department's Criminal Division, said this in a published speech:
"Our view is that merely writing code, without ill-intent, is not a crime."
And: "where the evidence shows that software is truly decentralized and solely automates peer-to-peer transactions, and where a third party does not have custody and control over user assets, new 1960(b)(1)(C) charges against the third-party will not be approved."
"Generally, developers of neutral tools, with no criminal intent, should not be held responsible for someone else's misuse of those tools. If a third-party's misuse violates criminal law, that third-party should be prosecuted — not the well-intentioned developer."
Section 1960 is the statute I was convicted under.
I am not asking anyone to take my word for it. Read the Department's own remarks, then read what happened in my case.
