this is f*cking insane...
you wake up to 15 emails.
usually, that's 40 minutes of typing.
now? double tap ⌘ for each reply.
Sentient OS (YC F26) just launched 👀
a local LLM on your Mac learns your context and writing style overnight, then drafts replies that sound like you.
best part?
no per-message cost. no cloud. just unlimited on-device inference.

i don't think people realize how fast AI agents are moving into finance...
@HyphenateAI just raised a $45M Series A, led by Nexus Venture.
their agents already run 90% of routine finance work across the platform:
→ reconciling cash
→ invoicing
→ subledgers
→ the close
humans only step in where judgment changes the outcome.

I spent my first 2 weeks at @heyreach_io writing a personal email to every client whose card failed because failed-payment churn is the cheapest revenue you will ever win back, so every client needed that email, including the ones I didn't get to that day.
Writing them by hand taught me what a good one looks like. It comes down to 3 things:
1. The tone is a heads-up about a card.
2. It says what failed.
3. Fixing it takes 1 click.
We built that into our delinquent recovery flow and kept it separate from cancellations and win-backs. A client whose card failed hasn't chosen to leave, so they need a different message.
4 days after it went live, it had clawed back 30% of what was failing. 2 of those days were the weekend, with nobody in the office.

Elon Musk offered $97.4 billion for OpenAI. Sam Altman answered in one line:
"no thank you but we will buy twitter for $9.74 billion if you want"
Exactly one tenth of the offer. Musk replied with one word. "Swindler."
The two started OpenAI together in 2015 as a nonprofit. Musk left the board in 2018 and has been fighting Altman ever since, including in court.
The bid landed in February 2025, right when OpenAI was trying to turn itself into a for-profit company. A few days later OpenAI's board rejected it unanimously. Altman's own guess was that Musk was "probably just trying to slow us down."
I don't think either of them expected a sale. Musk's offer made OpenAI's restructuring harder and more expensive. Altman's reply turned a serious legal move into a meme the whole internet shared.
Still, it's wild to watch two of the richest men in tech fight like this over a company they started together.
Who won this round, Musk or Altman?

You don’t need to see someone else’s feast to know your stomach is empty.
That is poverty.
But sometimes your plate is enough, until you see what’s on someone else’s.
That is comparison.
The hard part is knowing which hunger you’re feeding.

Jack Ma told Elon Musk humans will always be smarter than machines.
Musk’s reaction says everything.
“Computers may be very clever, but human beings are much smarter. We invented the computer. I've never seen a computer invent a human being.”
Ma's argument was simple. Computers are tools. They calculate faster, remember more, but humans still hold something machines don't: experience, judgment, wisdom.
Musk clearly didn't buy it. “What would be an example of something that humans are better than a computer at?”
Watching this exchange now feels completely different than it did then. AI agents aren't just calculating anymore. They're writing code, analyzing documents, planning tasks, deciding what to do next on their own.
METR found that the length of software tasks frontier agents can complete autonomously has historically doubled roughly every seven months, with signs of even faster progress through parts of 2024.
That's where Ma's argument starts to buckle. For decades, technology automated what humans did. AI is starting to automate what we assumed required a human to think.
And companies were already learning to create enormous value with almost no people before this wave even arrived. Instagram sold for $1 billion with 13 employees. WhatsApp sold for $19 billion with 55.
Now picture what happens when a small team can direct hundreds of machines that never sleep, never take a salary, never need an office.
The question was never just which jobs disappear.
It's what happens to the money once fewer humans are needed to create it in the first place.
That's the question behind 2028: The Economy Without Humans.
Who gets the money when machines do the work?

I’d start this promo with the words, using Dreamina’s $0.29 first month to create the visuals afterward. CapCut’s live Black Friday sale offers 60% off Pro and 40% off Ultra Oct 20–30 on desktop only.
Write three short lines: the setup, the product, and the next step. Create matching assets in Dreamina, then lay the narration down in CapCut PC and arrange the shots around it. Adjust the captions and music once the story flows.
Dreamina and CapCut Pro normally cost $15/month apiece. Each subscription is independent and has a corresponding offer link. Both promotions end October 30.
Try building your next video around a message you can say in one breath.

Do not open this website if you enjoy buying a new laptop every time the old one dies.
In 2003, a college kid named Kyle Wiens dropped his Apple laptop and went looking for a repair manual. There wasn't one. Apple didn't hand them out.
So he and his friend Luke Soules fixed it the hard way in their dorm room. They broke some tabs. They lost some screws.
Then they did something very irresponsible.
They wrote down every step and posted it online for free.
That site is iFixit.
Today it has over 60,000 free repair guides, and every single step comes with a photo. Phones, laptops, game consoles, coffee machines, cars.
You don't even need an account to read them.
Apple pulled their app from the App Store in 2015 after they took apart an Apple TV that Apple had sent to developers before launch. They kept going anyway.
So please, keep paying for the new one. Don't find out your "dead" laptop needed one battery, a few screws, and 40 minutes on a Sunday afternoon.
I've put the link in the comments so you can ignore it.
