Friends, Samuel Sey (@SlowToWrite) is literally family to me. Our wives are first cousins. I was at his wedding and can vouch for his character. He is a good man, a man of Faith, a husband and a father. We believe this is a clerical error made by law enforcement that will cost his family a lot of time and money to sort out. This is especially hard on his wife and 3 young children, and entering the holiday season no less. We don’t know how long they will be separated. I can’t divulge details at this point, but I have spoken to people close to my friend Sam Sey, and this is not a question of any deliberate law breaking. Anyone saying otherwise is not telling you the truth. And anyone rejoicing over his and his precious wife Annie’s difficulties in this situation is disgusting.

I’m not at liberty to share all the details, but suffice it to say that many people rejoicing over this have given a completely incorrect rendering of what occurred and why.
ICE did not come to his home. This whole thing is a paperwork issue that they’re working to resolve.
Samuel Sey is a good man. As you can imagine, his wife, who’s at home with their 3 babies, is devastated and also trusting the Lord to help them find a resolution quickly. Please pray for all of the Seys. Pray for wisdom and provision.
