I blame Atlanta traffic
It was a sad day for Atlanta sports fans on Saturday 😬 - Dream lost Game 4 of the WNBA Finals to Valkyries - Georgia Tech lost to Boston College - Atlanta United FC lost to Chicago Fire FC - Hawks lost to Rockets

Hmmm, interesting
The tools required to make a sophisticated visualization used to act as a kind of bullshit gatekeeper. A plot alone could make you interested in what someone was saying. It wasn’t perfect, but it worked. Now it’s almost the opposite. The uglier the plot, the more I trust it.

Went down to college station for a couple of @AtlantaDream games last year, GCA is just terrible. It's the worst/smallest pro/college sports home court I've experienced. @GeorgiaTech @GTAthletics do something
League sources tell me, barring a last second change of plans, the Atlanta Dream will play Games 3 and 4 (and 6 if necessary) of the WNBA finals at Gateway Center Arena - Capacity 3500 - Dream are trying everything possible to move to State Farm Arena, but SFA is booked (concert and 2 Hawks games)

Well said, probably the most important factor that helps me deal with all the noises these days
I agree with all of this. But I’d add one more reason why I’m doing a PhD: freedom. There may be few other times in life when you have this much freedom to slow down, think deeply about what the hard problems really are, decide what you want to explore, and figure out how to explore them. It’s the freedom to dream big—and have the time and space to try to make those dreams real. And freedom also means something more ordinary, but equally valuable: having ownership over your own time and energy. You can choose when to work, when to take a break, and how to structure your life around the problems you care about. To me, that kind of intellectual and personal freedom is one of the most precious parts of doing a PhD.

Agree with the original point but not sure about citations, as RW sections are perhaps the easiest part for AI to write.

my last name is perfect for measuring how stupid a person is
It's surprisingly revealing to ask: if someone's name were a unit of something, what would it be a unit of?
